most definitely...you are safe in richmond...in fact dont ever leave that bubble

my family hit up that costco regularly. canadians who shop there ARE rude. just like canadians who shop in the CA costco are rude. It's a fact and they have a point.

Tim Budong 08-12-2012 11:26 AM

This is funny. Because aside from the Costco and Wal-Mart in Bellingham, people appreciate my business

shopping in general at big stores like costco and walmart, even superstore, you will have to deal with rude self involved people.

i will deal with it at costco in the US cuz they have Monster for super cheap:okay:

bcrdukes 08-12-2012 11:41 AM

My folks typically spend the extra 30 to 45 mins driving down to Burlington for the peace of mind and having to deal with little to no "rude" Canadians.

That's where I go, I can't stand shopping in Bellingham because most of the Canadians are rude and I can't stand them. I've never had a single issue in Burlington and or those who say the cops are out to get us, yes you are correct so don't speed and break the law and u will have nothing to worry about :)

AVS_Racing 08-12-2012 12:15 PM

Could be that they live in very extended families....

LikeASir 08-12-2012 12:26 PM

Milk is used in our tea, which we drink about 4-5 times a day, also we drink half a gallon everynight so you can see why we need all that milk.

Edit: and some family also buy milk to make buttermilk instead of just buying it from the store.

Head further south than Bellingham, and people are way nicer. I have family in Lynnwood that I overnight at, and I'm frequently one of four or five BC plates south of the Outlets, and north of Southcenter. Sales people take a bit of interest when they find out I'm from Canada when I'm buying things and are generally not rude to me, but I don't have much trouble blending in because of the demographics in Lynnwood.

I'm not EI, but my take on the milk thing is that I'm assuming they take milk with their tea and a lot of recipes need a shit ton on milk?

Everytime i go seattle, i always hold down doors for people behind me if they are older, never once did they smile or say anything like a thank you. :okay:

CP.AR 08-12-2012 01:19 PM

+1

went to Spokane, WA a few months ago, asked to borrow a lighter from this middle-aged Caucasian man w/ his friend
after I walked a few steps away, I faintly heard, "thank God it wasn't another kid asking for a smoke"
also asked another man, and he just gave me a :seriously: look and reluctantly let me use it w/o saying a word
I thanked & asked politely too :rukidding:

confirmed fact that Canadians are much more polite

Harvey Specter 08-12-2012 02:05 PM

I love how drivers from here go to the states and hog the left lane and don't let anyone pass or go ape shit and speed like maniacs like they've never seen a freeway in their lives. I agree; have a little respect for the locals. It is a small town and some people don't like it when thousands of Canadians invade, it causes traffic and huge lineups and some people can't handle that.

suzuka84 08-12-2012 02:51 PM

I thought the indians were buying milk to make yogurt?

Yup, that plus we bath in milk, that's why my nickname is "chocolate milk". :suspicious:

fliptuner 08-12-2012 03:32 PM

One of the comments in the vid said "Hindus like to bathe in milk every night" or something like that i :lawl: so hard.

Alatar 08-12-2012 03:45 PM

I used to spend my weekends in Bellingham, for about 3 years there. It's easy to pick out who the "shoppers" are and who is just down there to enjoy a nice town south of the 49th.

The left lane hoggers, the speeders, the inconsiderate shoppers, believe it or not, 9 times out of 10, they've got BC plates. Can't even begin to count the number of times I've been blown past on the freeway, or been tailgated in the RIGHT lane. It's almost getting to the point where driving the I5 is like driving up here.

TypeRNammer 08-12-2012 04:49 PM

Don't even start with the left lane hoggers :rukidding:

CP.AR 08-12-2012 06:03 PM

I love driving on the I5

Everyone sticks to the right lane unless
A) Traffic is jammed up and it really makes no difference
B) Overtaking
