wow...carly killed that song...definitely my pick to take it all. |
best part is, that's a song i don't particularly like and she made me love it. incredible! oh and yeah, that tara simon chick......... strong dislike. |
Carly sings every song like she wrote it and feels the full emotion behind it. That's rare in ANYONE, let alone someone that young, and that's what REALLY connects an audience with a performer. If she can handle the work and pressure all the way through, she can win it easily. Tara's milfy, would definitely smash, but she needs to STFU, especially if she's not going to back it up with her singing. CeCe is cute and really SHOULD be tappable but even before she starts talking, she exudes this annoying attitude that makes me not want to touch her. Every time she opens her mouth, I want to lay a 2x4 upside her head. The problem is, she CAN sing, really well, at least on a technical level, so she'll probably be around for a long time. She reminds me of Tatiana, the drama queen from Idol a couple years ago. |
I don't think Carly is going to win. I think she should, but have a feeling near the semi-finals people are going to vote for someone else. Seems like the hands down favorite usually has a 50/50 shot at winning if other shows are any indication. Susan Boyle Jackie Evancho Adam Lambert etc. |
The thing with Carly is that she is a good singer and she's also like able. Chris Rene made it to the finale just because people liked him. But if you're good and people like you, I think she's got it this year. Everybody hates Tara and cece so I see them getting voted off early. Who's actually going to vote for those two? Maybe the judges will save them but how many times can they do that? Nobody else is that interesting to me. Jason Brock had a good audition but didn't like his other performances as much as the audition. Posted via RS Mobile |

The girl obviously has amazing support from her parents. They're totally supporting of her but you can tell they're not your typical stage parents, pushing her into it - and she really shows it in being confident, but not cocky, not stuck up. Loved the look on her Dad's face when he first saw her walking out on stage on the screed - like it just hit him, "Holy crap, that's my little girl out there!" |

I find with the final 2, it's always somewhat pure talent vs above-average talent and/or style. Like you said, with Adam Lambert vs Kris Allen. Adam was by FAR stronger than Kris in every way, but Kris just had that chilled out pretty-boy look that chicks loved. And Kris won. With Idol last season of Phil Phillips vs Jessica Sanchez. Jessica was stronger vocally, but Phil had a new sound. And Phil won. And last year with Melanie Amaro vs Josh Krajcik (sp?). Melanie was stronger vocally. But Josh had a unique voice and style. And Melanie won. When it boils down to the finals, you never know what's going to happen. This year, Carly Sonenclar, David Correy, Jason Brock, and CeCe Frey have the top 4 strongest vocals without a doubt. CeCe will probably get knocked out because of her bitchy personality. I think Emblem3 will be the last standing group, because they have a different sound from the typical boyband.. and all the teenage girls love them. But it won't take them to the finals. These guys remind me of Chris Renee's vibe, but in a teenage group form. Sub par vocals, sub par rapping. No one else is that stand-out this year. |
Would love to hear Carly Sonenclar sing "Rolling In The Deep" |
Carly's got a lot going for her: she's got the vocal talent, she's good with song choice (CeCe hasn't been great at that in the house), she's cute without being "inaccesibly" cute, and she is (or certainly seems) very humble, and thus overall likable. Her parents are also likable, unlike some bitchy mothers we've seen in the past. I think the one thing that could do her in is the pressure and workload. We've seen that before in other shows, where the young ones simply burn out toward the end. Alison Iraheta on Idol comes to mind - had a lot of the same stuff going on: down-to-earth cute, pleasant personality, huge natural talent, but at only 16, the pressure was too much, and you could hear her faltering as the season went on. If Carly's parents can help her keep it together and not over-exert herself, I think she's got it in the bag. Then too, I don't think X-Factor is quite the same pressure cooker that Idol appears to be. |

^Might've been more suited for CeCe's attitude. Quote:
Tara is probably vocally the second weakest, next to Paige. |
There will be always be crazy singers like Diamond white, carly sonenclar and I hate to say it...cece, but someone like Beatrice, David Corey or Jillian Jensen is what actually sells right now. Don't get me wrong, Carly sonenclar is insane and she has a great chance of winning, but I'm gonna go with beatrice or David Corey. I think they have the "x factor" |
I don't see it in Beatrice, but David Correy for sure. He has that Bruno Mars thing going on. |

Amazing. I actually like that song and if you've ever gone to Karmin's channel, the chick is actually quite a good singer but holy smokes this Carly chick destroys that song. Hope she records a cover as a single...since they usually do. |

I know what you're trying to say about Beatrice. But I've been working in the music industry for a few years now.. and from a technicality standpoint, if Carly can sing stuff that's level 10 on the difficulty scale, she'll be able to sing the "current" stuff no problem, which is at most a 5 or 6 in difficulty. Not to mention she sang the hell out of that Karmin song.. and they're huge on the charts right now. I actually think Beatrice will be one of the 2 that are going home. |
