Which just makes me want to know how open the playground is going to be. NINE DAYS.

Insides of the LG:
I wonder what radio the antenna cable is for.

It's lookin to be an LG only release. Who knows..

Graeme S 10-20-2012 05:11 PM

Yet "the playground is open". Wander what that means.

Eclypz 10-21-2012 05:12 PM

Samsung Nexus 10
Asus Nexus 7 3G and 32GB variant
LG Nexus 4

Sounds like there are multiple Nexus devices to me :)

!MiKrofT 10-21-2012 05:24 PM

Isn't Nexus 10 not gonna be announced till next year?

*edit* looks like you're right oct.29

EmperorIS 10-21-2012 05:47 PM

I was hoping to rid my 4s and a new nexus ... but it turns out to be LG :okay:

I'll reserve my judgement until I see reviews and hear some anecdotal evidence from friends who are planning to buy it. I'm a bit wary as well, but that's mostly just 'cause LG bloatware is :heckno:

With a pure Android experience...who knows? And since I use my phone a lot to read news and wahtnot, it'd probably be better on battery life for me. Damned AMOLED.

Google and LG officially announce the Nexus 4, available in Canada November 13th | MobileSyrup.com

$299 for the 8GB model, and $349 for the 16GB model via Google Play store.

EDIT: Canadian prices are $10 more than listed.

No LTE but a great price for the specs:

Quote:

OS 4.2 Jelly Bean, has a 1.5GHz Quad-Core processor, 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, 2GB RAM, 8GB and 16 variants, 8.0MP camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, wireless charging, NFC, 2,100mAh battery, 139 grams and 9.1mm thin.

c3m 10-29-2012 08:44 AM

I don't know about 16gb of storage..
but at that price I'm not complaining

sonick 10-29-2012 08:47 AM

True, no expandable MicroSD slot either, which is surprising and kind of disappointing.

EmperorIS 10-29-2012 08:50 AM

No LTE No Talk.

If you are going to force users to use cloud service by not having expandable memory at least let them have a faster connection speed...

Armind 10-29-2012 08:55 AM

No 4g? :okay:

Psykopathik 10-29-2012 08:55 AM

oh Hai!

pre sale notifications

sad, no micro SD again.

$309 for 8GB

$359 for 16GB

the 8GB may be cheap enough for a backup phone when i don't need my behemoth Note.

I swear people act like I pulled out my cock when i use my phone. eyes bulge and give me a wtf look.

bakasam 10-29-2012 08:58 AM

I'm suprised at the complaints over LTE lol. It makes sense for the people who stream video and whatnot on their phones but HSPA+ speeds are fine for me when browsing.

Tbh I haven't been getting a good LTE connection with my S3 and tons of iPhone users are reporting on and off LTE service as well.

sonick 10-29-2012 09:02 AM

Ya I have LTE off 95% of the time anyway on my S3.

!MiKrofT 10-29-2012 09:32 AM

At that price.. I'll probably buy it... I also see that there's a hidden notification light just like the galaxy nexus.

RacePace 10-29-2012 09:56 AM

I just noticed the 3.5mm jack is at the top

!MiKrofT 10-29-2012 09:57 AM

^I use BT headsets anyways so it's all good for me :)

roastpuff 10-29-2012 10:02 AM

That funky back finish :heckno:

Maybe for my girlfriend. I like the specs but I may stick with my S3 until they release an LTE Nexus.
