would the t3 be a lot different than the t4i? |
imo, i'd get a d7000 so ur'd be set for a long time. but out of the 3 choices, i'd get the t4i. think of the 55-250 as $150 discount as that was how much it was during the amazon sale. the 75-300 is not the greatest. t4i at least has a recycled sensor from the t3i and t2i. i think the t3 comes from the XS. |

Dunno, I just bought the Transcend 32GB cards for $40. You can get the 800x cards in a 2-pack for $90 regularly. |

refurb d600 Nikon D600 Digital SLR Camera Body - Factory Refurbished includes Full 1 Year Warranty 1679. Killer deal for FF. |
Kaycee, the touch screen the T4i has is really nice and was a feature that was kind of on the back burner when I was debating the 3 or 4 but now that I've used it, it's pretty awsome and worth getting the t4i I think, and I'm not sure how your GF is with technical stuff but I think the touchscreen would really help somone who isn't all that tech savy, or may become frustrated with using the dial all the time Posted via RS Mobile |
thanks! i think i'l go with the t4i as well, cuz she can always get new/better lens down the road, but more of a waste keep changing bodies. btw anyone know how the line ups will be for broadway camera? first time going to a dedicated camera store. |
In the event that you guys find a good Boxing Day deal and you can't get there or they're out of stock, let me know...I might be able to hook you up if you have trouble. |

One day I'll buy that Manfrotto. |

The Manny combo is a nice setup - quick-release ball head, sturdy yet light 'pod. And you save a bit over buying them separately. |
Just picked up my Transcend 400x 32GB card ($40 from B&H). Says 90x read, 60x write on the box. Ran it with my Kingston USB 3.0 card reader and it tested as 39-40MB/s write and 106-109MB/s read. As a comparison, the 400x Lexar 16GB I've been using in my 5D Mark III pretty much every day for 8 months says 35-37MB/s write and 75-78MB/s read in the same test. I've never had a problem using it in any situation recording 1080p video. I also use the slightly slower quiet burst mode and never really more than 2-3 frames. |
Those are some good deals! |
picked up the 50mm 1.8 today at FS for $99, and got the Lowepro Versapack 200AW at London Drugs for $70, i think buddy fucked up ringing it up lol :S It's not high end by any means, but i spent like 20 minutes on amazon looking at various backpacks and i find this one accomadates all my gear the best, i really like the bottom pouch for lenses etc: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...pse905c0d6.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...ps94b0de08.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y13...psb1784179.jpg not the highest end backpack, but i think it will do! |
^nice pick up on the 50mm 1.8! that's a nice looking camera bag as well! Went to Broadway camera today to buy a tripod bag. was only a few bucks off but i've been wanting one for a while. Was shocked to see the 5D3 body down to $2999 already (paid $3500 for mine a few months back, ouch!). Crazy deal on the D600 though. 6D was not really cheap for what it was. and lenses are still pretty painful as i was looking at the Canon 24-70 2.8 II (on sale for $2300). Played with the Fuji XE1. impressive camera. even at ISO 6400! drooled over the Leica Monochrome and M-E :( |
