Honestly I think I'd rather donate to a Russian mining company's charity fund! At least they have some press releases of actual charitable causes instead of retweeting apes Who knows where all this ETH will end up...

I'd feel bad if you stopped posting here.. I don't mean to put YOU down for being into this stuff.. My only point has been that it doesn't offer anything to anyone who isn't heavily into it. I don't shit on it nearly as much as most mainstream people do. Like if you told the typical person that you're into NFT, most would judge you and think you're a weirdo. I don't do that

You have been providing an excellent inside look at what NFT fanatics are thinking about... While I still think it's all existing within its own bubble, (and one with a ton of money swirling around right now) it's still interesting to see. I still think Crypto can have something to offer to the world. Just not rampant speculation and ripoffs.

Not sure how old you are, but we 40+ people have been through this exact same thing before in the late 90's. Hell I was part of it for a very long time, and eventually when the internet finally offered something to mainstream (basically tracking and advertising - I didn't say it had to be a GOOD thing lol) it became a way to make a steady income for many (not anymore though except for a few huge companies). Before then, it was mostly speculators and scammers who made money (and I admit did a bit of that too when I was 15 years old running porn banner ad farms)

https://www.tomshardware.com/news/in...pricing-listed

Looks like the original info on the Intel ASIC miners was B.S. They actually look really good now.

Priced at $5,625 vs $10,455 for the Bitmain S19j Pro. Makes me want to start a farm. I wonder what the availability is going to be for the average Joe.

KPMG in Canada completed the purchase of digital art from the highly acclaimed World of Women (WoW) non-fungible token (NFT) collection, its first foray into this rapidly growing technological innovation.

"NFTs unlock a new channel for organizations to engage with their customers, while also underpinning innovation through the secure digitization of assets," says Benjie Thomas, Managing Partner, Advisory Services, KPMG in Canada. "This acquisition reflects our belief not only in the continued growth of NFTs, but in the value of WoW and its mission. Having now gone through the process, we are well-positioned to guide our clients around building a corporate NFT strategy, including, acquiring, and safeguarding NFTs."
My brother who use to be high up in the company is probable shaking his head.

Canada now has 35% tariff on anything from Russia. Wonder If I would get hit with it if I got my miner shipped back.

Dear Compass Miners,

We understand you may have some concerns. We wanted to inform you that it is "business as usual" here at Compass. We are monitoring closely how sanctions could impact mining but they don't seem to affect us.If you have concerns and would like to cancel your hosting contract and have your machines redirected, Compass can send the machines to a location of your choosing. Compass will not be able to accommodate them at another Compass location at this time. Please be aware that additional shipping charges may apply.

We constantly communicate with our Russian hosting partner, who also sits on the Russian Government's Crypto Working Committee. If the situation changes, Compass will take swift action to move all machines out of Russia immediately, but drastic action is not needed.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out immediately.

The Compass Team

If your miners are in Russia there's no way you're ever getting them back, unless you can find someone to smuggle them out of the country and ship from there.

Compass says they will ship it but I don't know if I want to go through all the hassle just to set up one miner. It's still running.

Floor pricing is relatively low. My first exposure to NFT's.

Brutal. She clearly knows nothing about crypto. Just trying to pander to people in the sector.

I am not a 100% sure but I think she want's some type of framework so governments can talk to experts. So basically her bill would do nothing. You can tell by the way she speaks she knows nothing about crypto.
