Nanopool is switching everyone over to Ethereum classic. Not sure 100% how it's going to work.

We have added Intel Arc support for ethash.
Also, added automatic switch from ETH to ETC when ETH moves to PoS.
In case of mining on exchange wallet or any another custodial wallet switchToEtc should be false.

I'm only buying $200 a month right now.. Only BTC. I've been buying since 2017 so luckily i'm still in the green.

That being said, I wouldn't be buying if you're not convicted. I feel like crypto is a pure gamble play. This is throwaway money. It shouldn't be considered anything more than a gamble even if you "believe in the technology".

I’m not gonna pretend to know fuck all about any of this stuff anymore or even the nuance to why you said this escapes me…

But I do wonder what all these massive players like the Van Winklevoss twins, etc are up to? Like why didn’t they sell their hundreds of billions at the height and all still holding strong now… I always wonder what they’re waiting for.

When you're that rich, hold a vast array of investments, and carry that much capital they might as well hold in? What do they have to lose really?

The average investor shouldn't look to them as an example of what they should be doing themselves.

When you have fuck you money like that you can stand to take massive risks.

I like BTC because it's proof of work. It will always be proof of work. It is the OG crypto and it's the one that will always be. You can't upgrade it, you can't change it. You can fork it like Bitcoin Cash, but look how that's doing compared to BTC.

ETH is just software that doesn't do anything we can't do right now in the real world. Now that ETH is Proof of Stake, there are large entities that can control what ETH does. POS doesn't even lower gas fee's or help with scalability (apparently).

BTC won't go 100x like some others, but I still prefer BTC over ETH. I think I understand BTC, I still don't really understand ETH.

But like 68style says, who da fuk knows...

I know BTC is the OG digital asset and there will only ever be 21 million, so I want as much as that as possible. What i'm slowly learning is that if you want to be successful you need to have a strong portfolio of assets. Holding cash is trash, even in this bear market.

I know the equity markets are down right now, but they will come back. I also know cash is guaranteed to be worth less 10 years from now. Equities and other assets will be higher. That i'm sure.

I'm also preparing for another 30% crash in crypto and the equity markets, though I hope it doesn't happen, but you should be prepared for it. 10% of my portfolio is still cash, so if the market crashes again, i'm going all in, I don't really have a choice at that point.

Once dogicoins are back to 1c I'm buying stacks, the meme token will live forever, and when BTC spikes, everyone feels good about buying 10,000s of tokens for pennies on the dollar

When I went through the 2017 crash, I didn't really understand what happened, but thankfully I stayed invested and i've experienced the marijuana bubble and now the equity bubble and this crypto bubble again.

So i'm hoping if there's another bull run, I can act accordingly, but who knows. I might get sucked into the hype again. We'll see though. time will tell.

Hopefully this bear market is teaching a lot of people about risk management. Now that most of us are out of school, these are the costs of our education. Sometimes you gotta make mistakes, just have to learn from them. But, I truly believe these experiences are needed to make you a better investor.

Definitely not a bad thing to lose once in awhile no matter what investment field it is, teach you some humility... I was riding high on a totally ignorant wave of buying and selling crypto with all the dips and rises having literally no idea how it all works or what's behind most of them... made a decent profit and wasn't in the market when it crashed (lucky!)... but on the other side of things with stocks I made a very bad buy from some advice form someone with some Apple profits and lost like $10k that I'll probably never get back even if I'm patient...

Still up, the loss really stings... but at least it was in my self-directed RRSP so not money I could touch anyway lol...

Old couple came into the store. Saw them trying to use the bitcoin machine. I start talking to them. Wife is on the phone and walks outside.

I start working the husband and getting aggressive with him. He tells me they have been to the bank and now they are on the phone with them. I finally get them to give me the phone. I talk to the guy on speaker. I ask a few questions like his location. He tells me he is in New York. The wife collapses puts her head on the hood of her car. I call the guy a scammer he says fuck you and hangs up. He calls back and I tell him to fuck off.

They had taken 9k and were about to put it in the machine before stopped them. I can't save them all but I try.

Had them come back later and give me a card with $75 in it. My name is not John. That's the name i used with the scammer.

i'm so tired of scams. my shop phone rings all day w scams. emails, IG, FB. I'm just trying to do my work and there's just a constant onslaught of people trying to steal on us.

I'd run an entire political platform on prosecuting and eliminating scammers. Might not actually be able to do it, but it's something that everyone would agree would make the city, the province, the country a better place.

regarding shitcoins... the birth place of dogecoin, Reddit, has been doing some interesting things during this bear market.

1) shitcoin intended for specific subreddit. The most trade and track token is the /cryptocurrency MOON token. You get rewards these token by contributing to the subreddit. Supply is capped and is currently trading at 0.09 cent. As of now you can trade these token for coins to reward other redditor, buy awards etc. But Reddit has drop hints they plan implement ways for token holder to directly influence the subreddit they belong to. The most obvious one being ad space that can ONLY be purchase said subreddit's token. Why is this significant?
/Crypocurrency is one of the biggest gathering place for crypto heads. Even more so during a bull run. Imagine holding a token that will be REQUIRE to advertise on this subreddit.



2)NFT intergration into the platform. Okay I know most people still don't understand NFT/ dont care/think it is a scam. Reddit secretly drop their customizable avatar collection as NFT (note they did not use any crypto lanuage in their marketing, its simply collectible avatar). The demands has been crazy for the collection, generation 1 took 2 months to sell out and the new generation 2 sold out in 24 hours. Why is this significant?
/Crytocurrency was the biggest critic of NFT, that subreddit HATED NFT. They are now in love with the avatar collection and has kind of spark a mini craze. The same usage case the communtiy use to laugh at (profile pic utility lol) is now finally being seen as mainstream adoption. Some people rocking these avatar have no idea they are NFT

All very interesting to say the least. Reddit seems to understand the dynamic of Crypto and NFT and its is very encourgaing to see them take their time on everything

The only reason reddit would do that, is probably because the owners of reddit bought up a bunch of moonshitcoin, then they pump the coin, sell out, and then go back to taking Mastercard payments for advertising.
Or the owners of moonshitcoin, paid reddit, a thicc commission, to pump it on that sub

If they really wanted to cash in, they would pump the scheme across the entire platform, but in reality, they would probably lose a massive amount of revenue because noone wants to pay by crypto for advertising

Well you can check the distribution of the token. It is pretty pointless to try to manipulate a shitcoin with no volumne, no easy way to trade and no CEX to help pump. As of now this is a compeltely useless shitcoin that literally is meant to replace their current karma/award system.

Traditional online advertisement revenue has been shrinking for alot of web2.0 corps and I am sure Reddit is trying to find the next big wave instead of doubling down on a dying web2.0 function.

On the contary I think Reddit is explorer real usage case for crypto/NFT on their already succesful platform.

Side note this token was offer to several subreddit and only a few has adopted it. MOON for /cc is one. BRICk for /fortniteBR is another

Reddit being a for profit organization you can't shame them for trying to make money. I doubt these shitcoin is their grand master plan, it is more of a way to encourage engagement.
BUT their well execute NFT launch has been very succesful and no doubt profitable, a literally take my money and shut up moment for the platform.

Zoom out thou... Reddit just manage to onboard a shitton of people with zero crypto experience. You need to activate your vault (aka wallet) to store all these shitcoin and jpeg. Reddit made it so easy majority of the user don't even know they just step into crypto land.
