With Tezos fundraiser set on July 1st, I'm hoping to find out how exactly do these work....Like, am i supposed to have some cryptocurrency set up already or can it be done with CAD, or do I need to have USD set aside/converted?
Thanks in advance.
(and by all means if you need to rip me apart, go ahead, still learning/understanding how everyone buys/sells crypto. *note, kraken account waiting tier 3 verification*)

I can only speak to Poloniex as that is what I use.
When I buy currency, I use ATM's around town. The default currency you are buying into is Bitcoin. You then distribute BTC among the coins you want to invest in on a trading platform such as Poloniex or Bittrex, etc.
Staying with the ATM example, you are buying BTC in Cad funds but when it is actually transferred into your Poloniex account (and even in Blockchain app which is what you use to make transfers between the ATM and Poloniex, Bittrex, etc.) it will be in USD / BTC.

Did you under power it too or are you running at full power draw? i cant push more than 23mh/s with a 1060. Raising the memclock beyond 600-700mhz didnt do much for me.
Remember, please fully understand the concept and procedures behind Cryptocurrency. Do not just join in on the fun because its 'trendy' and you think you can make big bucks. There are lots of logistics behind trades and you do not want to be immersed and dump into a hole thinking you will make it big.
u want as many people (chumps or pros, doesnt matter) playing as possible and creating as much volume as possible, so that those crazy dumps like couple days back don't happen as much.
So I spent a lot of time yesterday installing my 2nd 1070 getting all the wiring neat and tidy. Even installed some LED strips that flash every time I get a share. Getting just under 60 GH/S combined.

Spoiler!
Fuck that shit. Just installed the second one using a riser, a Zip tie and a velcro strap. The card rests on top of the CPU cooler to the side.
Check out this bad boy. Yes that's 12 PCI-E slots.

I have a laptop with GTX 1060 6GB graphic card. Is that good enough to mine? If so, how do I start? Thanks
The 1060 is good.
I'm no expert and got some help setting mine up but here is what we did.
Get a wallet from https://jaxx.io/
Go to https://nanopool.org/ click Ethereum quick start.
Download Claymore miner install
Create config file. Run config file.
Now you are mining
Use something like MSI afterburner to tweak your GPU. Memory clock is what you want to overclock.
I would get a laptop cooling pad to keep everything cool.

Lol.... that dump was a result of an exchange fucking up...
I know tons of people who lost thousands from just a stupid mistake of leaving their money on exchanges. They are lucky that they are getting a refund and the people who managed to buy in at 10 cents got to keep.
They were margin trading and knew the risk. They are lucky gdax hooked them up. A whale cleared the list and bought back everything. At first gdax wasn't even going to reinbersed anyone, since it was a legit play.
