That's a bit more than 5% stale, which is okay. However, there may be some optimizations that you can still do. CGminer has been running for 24 hours, and I have 11560 accepted, and 202 rejected. That's less than 1.7% stale. No HW errors, finally!

Titan may be efficient but anything NV blows at mining

log into coinotron, go to my account, copy paste this... LZb1d1xptUygPRxmsi4PdPWBgLqHVVSmyc ...into your LTC tab, hit save and mine away

haha or you can just download the LTC walled and do the same steps with your own address.

tips to that address are always welcome

Litecoin mining difficulty increased last night, it is now at the point where you can more BTC by mining directly rather than mining LTC and trading it for BTC (฿0.17 per week vs ฿0.14 after converting at BTC-e)

Selling 0.17 BTC directly = $14.30 USD (@ $82 USD)
Selling 7.0562 LTC directly = $10.47 (@ $1.48 USD)

The questions are many, depending on what you intend to do, and depends on various exchange rates: BTC/USD, LTC/USD, and BTC/LTC

It all depends on your end goals too.. investing in BTC? Mine directly. Unless BTC/LTC stays low, and BTC difficulty goes up...

Investing in LTC? Mine BTC and sell it for LTC, until BTC difficulty goes up. This depends on the BTC/LTC

Wanting to cash out in your normal spendable currency? Again, it all depends on the various exchange rates

trying to figure out what to do

I think what I'm going to do is mine BTC for now, because my LTC mining was never working efficiently to begin with. A lot of wasted time on stales, and could never get my settings dialed in. When BTC goes up in difficulty I'll switch back and spend more time getting it to mine properly.

Only thing you need to change to farm BTC are your wallet and pool then?

yeah just fire up the other mining app

Some pools accept more than one type of currency

Went back to LTC though, as I think the BTC/LTC will only go up from 0.02.

Bah.. 8 hours of mining down the tubes. CGminer crashed 5 min after I left it. I was trying to squeeze more hashing by going to I:20. Oh well, back to I:19. I did find that increasing my TC from 15508 to 16000 scored a 2khash/s increase Going higher than that didn't do anything.

If I set I over 12, hash rate goes down. If I set instances over 10000, it goes down. I wonder if it's because I'm doing it remotely

On average how long does it take to mine a BTC? I've got an i7 2600k and my cooler for CPU could probably keep my temps down better than my GPU

Mining on a CPU? You're looking at about ฿0.02 a month, or around $1.39 USD with the current USD exchange. Uses about 80W doing this

it's obvious the point of this is to make money.

you should just keep mining whichever is easiest, and just sell it when they reach highs and buy back anytime lower. since you're gonna be keeping the e-coins, it doesn't really matter when you buy back (as long as you buy back lower).

if you need "spendable" currency you just cash out whenever you need it and only cash out the amount you need.

otherwise just hold, or cash out whenever it spikes up. buy back lower.

since you're generating coins out of thin air after you pay off your miner, you can take higher risks in buying and selling the coins.
you can think of mining like hedging the cost of the extended risk.

considering the rise of mining difficulty and drop of coin prices, i'm also at a lost. been doing tons of research into litecoin hardware, but have not bought a thing yet for mining.

not sure if i should even jump on the train now
