really tempted to buy a 7950 or 7970 to try, but theyre so expensive so itll take quite some time to break even

Anyone managing their rigs over the internet? (ie: logmein or teamviewer or the sort)
I just realized too that my office computer would be a good miner with a 5850
Nobody else is using that computer, so might as well!

Just to make things clear, the reason why it's difficult to buy coins with paypal of credit card is because there is litereally no security behind it.
If you buy something on ebay or a store with paypal, they send it to you with a tracking record that can be traced and proven. If you claim you didn't get the item, they can prove that you did. Even if you lie about it, you can still be charged with fraud, or be confronted like that kid who tried to steal that engine.
With bitcoin or litecoin, once the transfer is made, that's it. It can't be refunded or traced... So if someone were to sell coin for paypal, all the person has to do it buy it, and click "did not receive". There is no trace to follow, other than some anonymous hash marks.
It's still early, which is why there is so much potential profit if you get in now. Eventually there will be secured services offered - this has to happen for it to work as a spendable currency. We went through the same thing when credit cards were invented, and later interac. The difference is, the people can invest in this and profit, not just the banks.
So complain all you want about not being able to buy currency with your credit card. If you're actually interested in getting into the market, you'll find some other way to obtain coins.

I'm open to any ways to deposit or buy BTC even if they seem sketchy as long as they work I'd just like to hear from somone who's used an online source that's worked and isn't local
Do you think prices of LTC will ever reach BTC? Or have any sort of potential near it?
shoulda bought some BTC before this jump :/ dont feel like dropping $220 on a single BTC to buy some LTC, guess gotta mine mine mine!

So my GPU miner is reporting 250~290 khash/s but the reported rate on coinotron seems to fluctuate anywhere from 190~250khash/s. Is this suppose to be normal? o_O

Lol I have no idea what I'm doing here. I made an Coinotron account. Set up GUIminer and successfully connecting and mining at ~480kh/s on my 7950 but how do I link my Litecoin Wallet to my account? Its still synchronizing, I guess I have to wait then add my credentials? This things running on low usage and its so loud in here. For shits and giggles I put high usage and cranked intensity to 18 but it crashed my AMD driver lol.
Update: Catylyst says the cards at 81 degrees. From what I read this is normal. But still scary IMO since I'm getting a few artifacts in Chrome

The wallet takes quite a while to do its initial sync, but I think you should see a wallet code when you press the receive button. You can link your wallet on the Coinotron account page. Just paste the wallet code on the LTC row, under Payout address. I don't see a cashout option on Coinotron, but you can set a payout threshold and it'll transfer that amount within half an hour.
EDIT: Did some more tweaking with the GPU. My best find, so far, is 806/1400 for the GPU and RAM. Was getting 300khash/s, last night. Tonight, it's up to ~350khash. I took GUIminer out of the picture and just ran CGminer from a batch file. It displays more stats when it runs without a frontend, and allows for overclocking in it's interface. You can easily run CGminer by creating a batch file. To get started with the command, just start mining in GUIminer, then go to the console tab, Copy and paste the text after run command: to your batch file.

that's your default address, you can make as many as you want. It is suggested to make one for just about every different source you receive from, so you can keep track of everything

when i click start on the guiminer, i just get connection problems  do i have to forward the port 3334 for the router? i allowed it in the windows firewall already.
