Thanks Graeme...that sums up what I was thinking exactly.

I myself, would define "snapping" as anything of young people, that have been described as nice, uplifting guys turning to bombing civilians to further "some type" of political agenda(yet to be determined)

Is 'snapping' the best word? Maybe not...but what IS the best word?

So, CNN(and others) goes out of the way to get interviews with the mother, the father, an aunt and an uncle of these kids to be on the news, and start asking them questions.

When the parents, whom I would believe would be in a major sense of shock start talking in terms of disbelief, as both parents have done, then we can create another story such as this:

King: Suspected bombers’ parents ‘wrong,’ ‘offensive’ – CNN Political Ticker - CNN.com Blogs

where he can talk about how offensive it is that they are in denial that their kids are doing this.

WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT?

I'd like to think that my parents would not get on the news and say, "yeah, he was a bitter sort, and really liked to blow shit up...so I can totally see my little griddy doing this. Go blow him away boys!"

I really dislike what 'news' has become.

On top of that when they come/sift through the suspect's social media accounts and try to read into things, don't think that's the news' role.

Manic! 04-19-2013 02:57 PM

CNN: multiple shots fired.

sonick 04-19-2013 02:59 PM

Woot back on, shots fired again in Watertown

Anybody got a video stream? I just got audio

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:02 PM

Justice is handed out in a court room, not from a revolver.

Did you by any chance watch the Justin Trudeau interview a few days ago on CBC? He said exactly this when asked what he would have done if he was PM during the bombing. He said, it's time to look at the cause of these things happening. Find out why these kids felt excluded/hated others and fix it.

Then good ol' Harper made a come back the following day blasting Trudeau for saying that. I had a good laugh, starting to find it difficult to determine Harper from an US Politician. He needs to go.

Has anyone ever seen the movie Arlington Road? for some reason this kinda seems like that to me in a way.

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:06 PM

WCVB report: A body has been found in boat in a back yard on Franklin St.

King is a known idiot and has said a lot of stupid things over the years.

However, from reading his comments I don't think he said it's offensive that the parents were in denial or dis-belief at what their kids did. He's upset that their parents claim the US "framed them" and "set them up".

If I was a US citizen, a police officer or anyone involved in the gathering of evidence for this case I would be highly offended by someone accusing me of "setting someone up". Not only is it offensive to me, but really tells you the state of mind of the parents to so quickly imply this is another conspiracy the US "fabricated" for whatever reason. If this is what the parents truly believe, then how much of this thinking rubbed off on their kids? And what other "beliefs" did they teach their kids?

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:10 PM

To clarify, boat is not in water but covered by a tarp and in a backyard

StylinRed 04-19-2013 03:11 PM

Manic! 04-19-2013 03:11 PM

CNN: they have him cornered.

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:11 PM

Law enforcement definitely aware of people listening to the scanner and potentially compromising their tactical safety and being careful with what they broadcast

StylinRed 04-19-2013 03:12 PM

"open mics watch your mics" :suspicious:

StylinRed 04-19-2013 03:13 PM

he's in a boat "movement in the boat"

Gumby 04-19-2013 03:16 PM

Can someone please explain why law enforcement can't talk privately among themselves without the public listening in? Or do they not have access to the high-tech stuff?

I think they're saying that because someone left their mic on not because there's 100,000 people listening to the feed

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:17 PM

Getting tarp/cover off apparently

van_city23 04-19-2013 03:19 PM

They are using old tech. The VPD and others have upgraded to digital technology.

I hope they catch him alive.

shawnly1000 04-19-2013 03:21 PM

Tactical only presence and removing any officers from line of fire
