Chechnya isn't Russia. It was part of the USSR at one time but is since a breakaway republic.

Chechnyan extremists have been responsible for a number of attacks against Russia including that airport attack in 2011.

Too early to tell, could still be camping out somewhere, but given the way he's carried out his actions over the past few days I'd say he's trying to make a run for it. I personally think he's already halfway to Canada. It's not like they had the ENTIRE state locked down, there had to be a way in the midst of all the confusion for him to have an ample chance to get out of the situation.

I was trying to have the community avoid drawing ties between the terrorists being Muslim just because they're from a Muslim country but I guess if its already been confirmed thats that.
