The Calgary game where Torts went crazy, Burrows was chirping like a spring robin all while wearing his full face shield. He's a " character" player like Marchand, but at least the nose face killah is performing. Marchand has 33 in 54, 17 of those are goals. $3 million a year...

I think the talent isn't there (hence the "window" is closed). The effort and execution would be nice to make it into post-season though. But that's about it.

Not sure if you're a Canuck fan or not. But your post sounded like what non-local media would label Burrows as.
I'm pretty sure any Canuck fan who has actually been following the team for the past few years would know Burrows' incredible value to the team.
But hey, if this is your first season following the Canucks, I can see why you would think he's an over-paid idiot this season.

I think some of you guys are forgetting the fact Burrows just came back from a BROKEN JAW and a bruised foot...

This season is a writeoff for him. Players that come back from injury usually don't do very good...

I remember a few seasons ago Bieksa had his calf sliced by a skate, returned to action, and people wanted to trade him for a bag of pucks because of his shitty play :fuckthatshit:

We seriously need an injection of youth and speed. Puck moving defence men like Christian Ehrhoff.

I wouldn't really call that a shot at Booth.

Torts is basically saying that we need our best players to be our best players if we want to win.

I think everyone, including Booth, knows that Booth is not one of our best players.

That said, I hope Booth can continue to play like he did tonight. The guy who showed up in Booth's skates tonight would not be a buyout candidate if he played like that every game.
