I've heard that Burrows and Edler are rumored to be possible trade bait but not sure how much weight I would put into rumors. Despite Burrows having a god awful season thus far I personally wouldn't trade him. He brings a lot to this team and like mentioned above he's had so many big moments for this franchise over the past few seasons. He has what it takes and it's a shame with his injury and all that this season is turning out to be possibly his worst NHL season but it doesn't mean you give up on the guy and quickly say "trade him!", it doesn't work like that. Edit: And as far as Booth, I've watched Booth throughout this season and he seems like he's giving everything he has but he just doesn't seem like he fits in with this roster. I think he needs a fresh start with another team and sort of reminds of Raymond who looked out of place last season. For Mason it worked out pretty good, he signed with the Leafs and he's got his game back. Not a bad pickup for the Leafs at a million bucks. |

3-7 in the last 10 games. The only thing saving our collective asses right now is that the Kings are 1-8-1 in the last 10. Seems that they can't buy a win now either. Quote:
Seen a lot of things, from the Rangers stealing the cup from us in 94' to the Bruins stealing the cup from us in 11'. That said, the stats still show that he's not the same player he used to be. Hockey players have a small window of opportunity where skill, maturity, and drive will peak. Burrows is 33 this year, which means that his performance years are pretty well behind him. What he needs to do now is to lead with his maturity. Teach the Kassians and Sestitos how to be competitors. His penalty last night was a dumb move, and taken at the worst possible time. Any steam the Canucks had was lost at that point. His 4 assists in 24 games, and -10 really speaks to the success this team is missing. Our time is running out boys. Kassian is the only active Canuck on the roster that was born in the 90's. Our Canucks average age is almost 28 years old. The average age of our top 5 performers is almost 31. Time is running out.
