I've heard that Burrows and Edler are rumored to be possible trade bait but not sure how much weight I would put into rumors.

Despite Burrows having a god awful season thus far I personally wouldn't trade him. He brings a lot to this team and like mentioned above he's had so many big moments for this franchise over the past few seasons. He has what it takes and it's a shame with his injury and all that this season is turning out to be possibly his worst NHL season but it doesn't mean you give up on the guy and quickly say "trade him!", it doesn't work like that.

Edit:

And as far as Booth, I've watched Booth throughout this season and he seems like he's giving everything he has but he just doesn't seem like he fits in with this roster. I think he needs a fresh start with another team and sort of reminds of Raymond who looked out of place last season. For Mason it worked out pretty good, he signed with the Leafs and he's got his game back. Not a bad pickup for the Leafs at a million bucks.

I would like to see next year

4th Lain Richardson Sesito
3rd Scheorder Archebald Grenier BIG STRONG line.
2nd Shinkaruk Kesler Horvat
1st Sedin Sedin Burrows

Left overs would be Higgens, Hansen, Booth, Guance, Jensen, Kassian, Cassels

 on so many levels

lol'd hard at midget Schroeder as your "BIG STRONG LINE"

ARMCHAIR GM OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

3-7 in the last 10 games.
The only thing saving our collective asses right now is that the Kings are 1-8-1 in the last 10. Seems that they can't buy a win now either.

I'm pretty sure any Canuck fan who has actually been following the team for the past few years would know Burrows' incredible value to the team.
But hey, if this is your first season following the Canucks, I can see why you would think he's an over-paid idiot this season.

I've been following the Canucks since the days of the Coliseum, thanks.
Seen a lot of things, from the Rangers stealing the cup from us in 94' to the Bruins stealing the cup from us in 11'.

That said, the stats still show that he's not the same player he used to be. Hockey players have a small window of opportunity where skill, maturity, and drive will peak. Burrows is 33 this year, which means that his performance years are pretty well behind him. What he needs to do now is to lead with his maturity. Teach the Kassians and Sestitos how to be competitors. His penalty last night was a dumb move, and taken at the worst possible time. Any steam the Canucks had was lost at that point. His 4 assists in 24 games, and -10 really speaks to the success this team is missing.

Our time is running out boys.
Kassian is the only active Canuck on the roster that was born in the 90's.
Our Canucks average age is almost 28 years old. The average age of our top 5 performers is almost 31.

Time is running out.

This would be correct if the team was healthy. Apparently Higgins may not go tonight? That's one less NHL body for Torts to use. They should've shown emotion with the return of the coach that took a suspension for them (albeit in a stupid way). That didn't happen.

Raymond been's good for the leafs for 1mil, but he still does not seem to fit on the team. He does not seem to fit in with the team's long-term goals. It's unlikely burrows will get traded since his value is at an absolute minimum. Next year will be his do or die year.

Milan Lucic: 'people point the finger too much on Luongo' after 2011 Cup Final
Quote:

Canucks' Roberto Luongo is set to make his first start in Boston since the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, and despite the measure of bad blood that exists between the two teams, Bruins forward and Vancouver-native Milan Lucic says people are too quick to judge the goaltender's poor performances in that series.

“I think too many people point the finger too much on [Roberto] Luongo,” Lucic told Joe Haggerty of CSN New England. “I think he’s a great goaltender. He was still able to get them one win away from the ultimate goal. It shows what type of person he is, going through what he went through with how he was treated [in Vancouver] by everyone."

Luongo allowed 18 goals in$four Cup Final losses to the Bruins,$and posted$an .891 save percentage over the course of the seven-game series.

Added Lucic: "[Luongo] has managed to keep his game at a high level, and he’s on the Olympic team. He’s still one of the best goaltenders in the league. It shows a lot about his character. I wish him all the best in Sochi."

Luongo did stop 39 of 41 shots in a 6-2 win over$the Bruins in Vancouver back on Dec. 12, and despite the pleasantries expressed above, Lucic would most certainly love to shoot a few into the net on Tuesday.
Good guy lucic
