Can't complain about the choice at all, although I would have thought maybe replacing Stamkos with another pure goal scorer would have made more sense.

But not taking St.Louis now would just be slapping his face twice, especially when he's been playing so well.

Wouldn't surprise me. Ribs take longer than 2 games to heal. He took what like 5 games off, came back and still ineffective obviously not 100%

Being replaced by backlund if true. But ya it makes no sense for him to go. Not only from a canucks view but from the Swedish team as well. Like why have him if he's going to perform like he did in Boston lol

As much as I would of liked to see Stamkos on team Canada I am excited to see St Louis there, thank you Yzerman for doing the right thing

Hopefully this trade deadline gonna be interesting this year, lots of good players being shopped around, Miller, Vanek, Callahan, Andy MacDonald, Ott, Moulson, Cammalleri and more
