69.3 Contact Inside the Goal Crease - If an attacking player initiates contact with a goalkeeper, incidental or otherwise, while the goalkeeper is in his goal crease, and a goal is scored, the goal will be disallowed.

Like we need help losing games ...

Y! SPORTS - David Poile hit in face by puck needing 30+ stiches

Quote:

From the Tenneseean:
Coach Barry Trotz said Poile was hit while standing in the hallway behind the Predators bench during Thursday's morning skate before the evening's game against the Minnesota Wild.
"Just looking at it, it was above the eye, so there was no damage to the eye," Trotz said. "It was a hard, rocket pass that skipped and hit him pretty flush. We hope everything is fine there."
in the same day

UPDATE: It was quite an eventful day in Predatorville. The team's TV play-by-by man, Pete Weber, was taken to a local St. Paul, Minnesota hospital after suffering a heart attack, according to the Nashville Post. He told the Post he's feeling comfortable and out of trouble.

Poile, now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. If memory serves me correct, me thinks his father, Bud Poile, was general manager of the Vancouver Canucks in the early years.

Down by two after one fricken period. I rush home to watch this game? I must really be a hard core Canucks fan. A stupid one at that........... good thing there are only three periods in a hockey game. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

PP 1 goal in 27 tries?

Well, to be fair, it should be 0-0. Refs gifted MTL a pair.

MG1 02-06-2014 04:36 PM

Just watching intermission feature.............. damn, we need Linden back. Just standing behind the bench would get the players going. I don't think anyone behind the bench as it stands, is inspiring the players.

Linden isn't the coach type, but frick, can he do any worse?

Didn't watch most of the first period, but a goal is a goal is a goal. I hope this isn't going to be our 6th straight loss.

Olympics (hockey) starting next week........ looking forward to it. Will help in forgetting our Canucks for awhile.

2 penalty shots in a period for the same person?

There's a first for everything (that I've been around to see).

MG1 02-06-2014 05:15 PM

"Patches" would score 1 before the entire Canuck line-up puts one past Price.
