Mijune is pretty good looking, :)

Sky_High 04-24-2012 02:20 PM

Surprisingly...only 2 ish of the 12 finalist are "Asian".....and only half of the list was people from Vancouver. Everyone else...was all across North America. Looks like they did a really good job is diversifying the entries.

Tim Budong 04-24-2012 02:30 PM

I'll say it right now
Ed Lau is the ONLY PERSON that will represent Richmond Food Culture correctly.

This is gonna sound a bit racist, but you bring in some big white boy from the NYC into Richmond, the guy will get lost. sadly if your not asian, you might and most likely will miss out on specialties

this is in fact the very nature of why white boys even from Langley get confused coming into Richmond and think everything is garbage. Sure, the night market is fun and games, and/or Richmond's huge overflow of chain mid-range spots such as Cactus, BostonPizza or even Earls, but to get the real feel of Richmond, you need a local man. and that guy is Ed

VOTE FOR ED LAU OR DIE

kcl38 04-24-2012 03:15 PM

Voted! Gave me advice when starting up my own food blog :D I was talking to my boss when I was at work yesterday and he was talking about Ed being a great guy and always enjoying having him at the restaurant

Ronin 04-24-2012 03:22 PM

Plenty of people gave me advice when I was starting out blogging and stuff. Only right that I do the same. :)

Who's your boss?

Yeah, I know but I gotta do what I can.

The winner of the vote is just automatically in the top 3. I'm quite confident I can get there with my interview but hey, couldn't hurt to have a guaranteed spot.

Thanks guys. I honestly appreciate you guys helping me out.

Gnomes 04-24-2012 06:01 PM

Manic! 04-24-2012 06:13 PM

Yea dude the voting shiet most of the time is just a matter of who knows the most people and has nothing to do with who's deserving. Got faith in you mang you got this shiet.

I assume if they're in this thing then they can order more at Chinese restaurants than sweet and sour pork, spring rolls and chicken fried rice.

If not, well, they won't get very far in Richmond, I guess.
