You'll never get anywhere in life living in the past. You still talk like the guy who was whining 8 years ago.

If you want to continue on, send me a PM instead of posting in other peoples threads and going off topic.

Thank you for the life-advice chum. If I want to pretend to ball, I will scam others so I can compensate for my inner insecurities.

I'm not the type to hold grudges, but when I requested for the screen to be left installed on your car for testing, you brought it over to my work detached from your car. You then said "it works, I won't scam a fellow Subaru enthusiast." The "pm" battle ended by you claiming that I screwed up on the install. Very nice!

If you didn't include the last line, I would have just sucked it up and moved on. It was only $400 to me, but I guess you need to pay for your lease on your STI right? BTW, I'm not the one that had to change screen names a few times on this forum. I'm done with this issue now.

Anyways, props on Ronin for defending what good food really means.
It's like trying to defend that a 323i is more luxurious (+ a better car) than a G37 based on MSRP.

Graeme S 05-08-2012 10:48 AM

Further whining or being butthurt in this thread will lead to points. Suck it up and move on, princesses.

This thread is about props for Ronin's awesomeness despite it not being recognized.

I sprinkle diamonds on everything I eat. IT MAKES MY DOOKIE SPARKLE.

Bourdain is Buddha for me. I've watched every show he's ever made. The guy gets it and no one will ever call him boring. That dude knows how to have some fun even though he's now older than dirt.

So I made a Facebook page for my blog if you guys want to follow along. That's where I'll be posting some of the things that aren't enough for a whole blog post as well as extra stuff from my blog.

I'm also giving away two tickets to EAT! Vancouver right now so check it out: Ed Eats | Facebook

Meowjin 05-17-2012 11:58 AM

I think you should just take me ed.

For those who still cares, the winner is Lindsay Anderson. She seem to have an extensive background.

Tourism Richmond Food Blogger Winner is Lindsay Anderson | Vancity Buzz | Vancouver Blog

SkinnyPupp 06-05-2012 08:58 PM

Extensive background, but shitty blog. Let's hire her to write our blog!

Gridlock 06-05-2012 09:53 PM

I'm going to walk the fine line here on what Graeme said...

She was on Global today, and the interview was awkward and she had a real arrogance about her, just in the way she was sitting on the sofa.

CorneringArtist 06-05-2012 10:03 PM

Same went for her interview on the CTV morning show.

RS_Pat 06-05-2012 10:12 PM

Reminds me of that contest at YVR, lots of publicity at first, but did anyone really follow the blog after the buzz died down...?? I don't think I would be interested in what she has to say about the food in Richmond. Better to ask the fine peeps at RS!~

Gridlock 06-06-2012 08:09 AM

Yeah, I wasn't really inspired to seek out her writing based on the interviews.

I saw that interview as well, I thought she definitely showed a lot of confidence. Not to mention, didn't look nervous at all, being on live Television.

But yeah, I'm not that interested seeking out her blog or reading it.

Razor Ramon HG 06-07-2012 12:32 AM

She looks like a cunt.

Ronin 06-07-2012 11:21 AM

I congratulated her yesterday.

Hey SkinnyPupp, go check out what her very first restaurant is!

Edit: Fuck me.

Edit2: Goes to have dim sum, and the only food she writes about is squab.

Each have their own specialty, and at Sun Sui Wah it’s whole roasted squab. “Yes!!” I thought, “I’d LOOOOVE to try the squab!” Then I asked someone to please tell me what squab is.

Seriously......SERIOUSLY

Fuck. Same old gwailo dim sum food. Let's see some tripes, feet and tendons! Dunno about you but I've never seen people order squab at dim sum.

Gumby 06-07-2012 11:36 AM

Man, I really don't know whether to laugh or cry...

Remember this post. When the blog starts, you'll see. It will be Sun Sui Wah, and she will lie about how good it is.

:lawl:

CorneringArtist 06-07-2012 11:58 AM

LOLing hard at the post sonick quoted. Pardon my ignorance as I don't dine in Richmond much, but I take it Sun Sui Wah is a shitty restaurant?
