LOL @ mcdonolds incident being center stage for Canada... |
I'm at the McD right now. Food tastes just like at any other McD's. Wish woman was here right now..........I'd give her a swift kick. Posted via RS Mobile |
Thread title is misleading probably because of the picture of the guy with the sign. The Charter only applies to the government. This is potentially more like human rights tribunal issue. |

Probably would be different in the "white" neighbourhoods of course. Easy in Japan since the names are all in English. But you gotta say it with a Japanese accent. You can't order a McDouble unless you say "makudaburu". First time I made the mistake of saying "mikudaburu" and they didn't get it. |

Edit: this was sigworthy, if you hadn't noticed... |
This is retarded. She could have easily pointed out the drink she wanted without saying a word of English. As people have previously said, all she is doing is overexaggeratting this *mistake*. Posted via RS Mobile |
Lol, someone who speaks French should: 1) Find out where she works 2) Go there speaking nothing but French 3) Make a scene when she doesn't understand what the fuck they're talking about 4) Go to the Newspapers demanding "RESPECT" and claim violation of human rights & freedoms on her ass 5) ???PROFIT??? |

Sometimes I really hate the people in this city - most are good, but there are too many of these kinds of idiots trolling around ruining it for the rest of us |
How about you go to McDonalds, eat there, and say you support them, McDonalds, in this dispute. MG1 has the right idea :) Put it on Facebook :) |
Why don't the OP post on Vansky and see what they have to say? ;) |

But hey, Canada is not China. Keep that bs where it came from. The same behaviour is not acceptable here. |
somebody should send her over to this nice, quaint little sandwich shop in port kells by the name of La Charcuterie Delicatessen. :fullofwin: |
I always think of it this way, if I am moving to a new country then I would expect to communicate in that country offical language. Beside is pretty hard to get hot chocolate and coffee mix up. Even then the ppl at McDonald's would just change it for you (I work at McDonalds before and trust they will change it for free if you ask). Most likely what happen is the Chinese girl drank almost all of it and then complain they give her the wrong order and want a free cup of coffee. The cashier was asking/looking for a manager for this and the girl got piss. |

This all reminds me of one of the funniest things I've witnessed in a long time: was doing a service call in a gas station... watched as a Chinese customer got into a shouting match with the brown GSA... both trying to speak English, both with a thick accent, neither understanding the other AT ALL... best part was, I could make out enough to realize, they were both saying exactly the same thing, they just didn't realize it... so they kept getting louder and louder until the customer stormed out :lawl: |

To those saying she should have just pointed.....fuck that shit. Bitch been here for 10 years. She should have told the employee in either English or French what she wanted. I am on irony overload with the daughter holding a sign in Chinese as well. Its been a long week of dealing with idiots because of the full moon...this was the icing on the cake. STERILIZATION FOR ALL :fullofwin: |
Actually I browsed through Vansky for crap and giggles just now.. it seems the story is a non story in the Chinese world. I guess we are being trolled.:okay: |
Wow I think the mom would be really flattered because the one on the left is the mom and she is the one carrying the Chinese sign. Quote:
