It is pretty fun! Spend $10 to get some cards. Seems like Magic but easier to understand. |

IT IS LIKE. I already spent $30 something dollars to play arena. It's not an expensive online game and it kills time when you have time to kill. I agree on the balancing part. |
Game just got released on the iPad across Canada. Not sure what it is but I am quite hooked! |
perfect. time to take longer poops. |
Pretty stoked it got released on the iPad. I think its a lot better to play on it than on a PC Posted via RS Mobile |
This game has always had "play me whilst taking a shit" feel for me. I've now been playing it every 3 days or so to do the quests but I figure I'd play it daily for sub 1 hour once its released on android tablet! |
Tried this game for the free mount and noticed a couple of things.. - The matchmaking is messed up, I got matched with a lvl 10+ opponent as a lvl 1 (found out later cause he used a spell rewarded from dinging lvl 10) - If you don't do iap you are gonna face a steep uphill battle. Most of the matches I played, ppl were dropping purple/blue cards on me like it was free. - It drains battery like a mofo (on my mini ret). 1-2 hrs of gaming takes about 30-40% battery, that is worse than 3d intensive games like real racing, infinity blade etc. and high bitrate 1080p dts vids! Like what others said, it has become a "play as you take a shit" game for me (pve vs. the innkeeper), can't be bothered with iap heros or time wasters (wait till time runs out EVERY turn). |
i'm addicted to this game. I like how each game is so short (you can log on and play 1-2 games and quit) and you're not really on the edge of your seat trying to click faster than your opponent. there's still a turn based element. after winning enough packs from arena etc... the game "equalizes" and i find it requires actual skill to be a good player. i have noticed the stock priest deck is very OP. the thing i enjoy about this game most is the decision making and when faced against an equal opponent the games come so close. one mistake that costs you a turn can end the game quite quickly. i've had a buncha games where we're both down to sub 5 life. and a handful of games where it was down to 1 life and luck of the draw lol. the game isn't to do with rares and legendaries. i've faced idiots who bought all their cards and just made decks full of purples and oranges. and i still beat them. it's all about the right card combos and a balanced deck. |
It's actually pretty fun game. Kinda like Magic but with warcraft theme. It's a nice break from dota for me. |
Opened some packs and got one of each rare in a pack :O http://i.imgur.com/N0fnIX6.png |
grats. could have got more value outa that pagle if u got it sooner tho lol |
it's out for ipad 2 and better if anyone didn't know. |
^ It "worked" on the pad2 since day 1 of the ios launch. Not sure how anyone can even play it on anything less than a miniret or ipa. Feels like 10fps on a ip3 so did not even bother with the 2. @Forbidden Damn that is one lucky roll, all (cept the legend, ironically) useful cards. Best I got was 2 Useful cards in a pack ...... |
Need this on Android |

I just had the most epic comeback with my mage against a paladin.. He had me down to 11 while he was at 30. I was just getting shitty draws for the first half of the game. Then I was able to control his mobs little by little, freezing when needed, using my self-cast buffs... Finally I got just the right cards on the table to take him out. That felt AMAZING but I can't help but feel that a lot of this game depends on what you happen to draw. I have had games where I can't draw shit in the first half, then just get owned. I really wish they offered quality settings for the ipad version. It really sucks playing on an ipad 2. |
Yea come back wins feel really good especially when you're down to like < 5 HP. Drawing the right cards is the mechanic of any TCG. At least with Hearthstone it's a little bit easier since we get mana each turn as opposed to having to draw mana cards and then play it. |

Warrior had me down to 10 health by the 4th turn... I got him down to 1 but then he pulled a 7 HP epic axe and pwned me |
older screen shot from last season... the tides changed pretty fast... i'm the guy about to lose 30 life in one turn LOL... i knew i shoulda killed that troll, got cocky hah. http://i.imgur.com/Uips9BU.jpg |
Yeah I made the same mistake against a priest who had one of those "damage equals health" buffs.. he added a bunch of health, doubled it up, and BAM, got hit for 26 damage in 1 hit :fuckthatshit: I bought 7 packs for $10 and didn't get jack shit. Well I think I got one purple for paladin but I am not interested in paladins. I go back and forth between mage and warlock. It's weird, I seem to go through streaks where I win 3 then lose 3, I wonder how much of this game is determined by luck of the draw. |
FUCK ARENA MODE |
LOL Fuck, I suck at arena mode. I've been doing a couple ranks, currently sitting at lvl 19 trying to get to 18... Funny thing is, I am still using the same deck the game made for me when I first got into beta lolol noideawhatimdoing |
As I play more with all classes for dailies (to gather more gold), I am starting to realize this game is a little too luck/rng/draw dependent. You can be the most skillful player with the most epic deck but if you get the shittiest draws and cannot control/counter while your opponent gets all the best synergy draws = you are screwed. Personally, I would like to see 2x of everything (2x hp, 2x mana pool/per round, 60 cards, draw 2 per round). That way, luck is still a factor but your skill (planning/managing mana/cards) can overcome a few bad draws/tank a few opponent lucky draws. Many have requested a "tag team" mode but instead of 2 players, you play 1v1 with 2x of everything. Due to luck begin a huge factor, some players (like a few post above), feel that Legendary/Epics are not as crucial as they should be. The cards are VERY powerful and it should be that way. |
luck of the draw is important... but then you get to redraw... so really it's not that unfair. the chances of you making synergy combos is also up to how you build your deck. remember, the opponent suffers the same chances as you. |
