I never disenchant unless I get triples even though what you suggest is the most ideal way. I kinda want all the cards in the game :D

Using him in a rogue deck with stealth could be useful, but I'm no expert. Still ranked 20.

If you want to get any higher you'll need to not make Gruul decks ;)

Really all that matters is that you're having fun. But there epics that are far more useful than Gruul...

No, I'm not trying to make a deck out of useless cards. Just want the sense that I have all the cards in the game, that's all.

But yeah, there's shit like Pyroblast and Grommash I would like to have.

SkinnyPupp 12-19-2014 04:12 PM

Usually I would recommend that people not touch any of their cards until they really know what to do with them. There are some that are instant-DE though, since they are literally useless and only cause you to miss out on having something better. Gruul is just one of those cards :lawl:

ADWCTA's Hearthstone Arena Tier List

Something I found and have been following in terms of card value.

And the rule of thumb for basic card value I've been following is that the mana cost should not be more than half of atk + hp. Any others you can share?

SkinnyPupp 12-19-2014 05:21 PM

Mana = atk+hp/2 is the 'vanilla test' - after that you have to factor in added value from battlecry and other effects. There are certain effects that you "need" in arena, such as silence, remove weapon, and charge.

A good rule of thumb is to draft purely based on value for your first 10 picks or so. Pick up obviously OP cards land board sweeps when you can. After that, fill out the deck with anything you're missing. Try to have 5-7 solid 2 mana minions (go for 3/2 rather than 2/3) to make sure you can have early tempo.

Avoid any card that looks OP and passes the vanilla test, but is easy to remove. The easiest example of this is Magma Rager. 5 damage for 3 mana looks insane. But obviously with 1 health, it's the easiest minion to kill.

You'll need to buy both, there are quite a few useful classic cards still. I would say buy classic cards and play arena to get the new ones. Also, Naxxramas is a must, but its in game currency price is inflated -spend the $20 instead

Energy 01-01-2015 05:17 AM

Haha yup! Final boss was a zoolock.

FerrariEnzo 01-05-2015 03:11 PM

i should get back into this game.

it's like one of the few short action games that requires intellect over twitch skills.

SkinnyPupp 01-06-2015 07:53 AM

I still find it fun. Infuriating sometimes, when the opponent has the perfect answer for everything you do.

mr_chin 01-07-2015 12:30 PM

This is the perfect game to pass time. Especially now it's available on android, this is all I do at work.

Spent $50 from the Roger's Suretap to buy 40 packs, got some nice lock cards.

FerrariEnzo 01-07-2015 05:43 PM

I like the fact that the account is playable on multiple platforms so you dont have to start a new one for every platform..

Blizzard doing something right for a change

Tim Budong 01-07-2015 05:52 PM

spent my $25 GC on Naxx adventure....so difficult...hope i made right choice?

SkinnyPupp 01-07-2015 06:21 PM

Yes, Naxx is a must and it's way more cost efficient to spend $25 over in-game gold

Tim Budong 01-18-2015 02:28 AM

finally beat naxx

the cars you get are definitely a huge upgrade.

SoNaRWaVe 01-18-2015 03:00 AM

sorry to go a bit off topic, did you buy the packs straight up with the suretap? or did you have to convert it to a visa/mc gc first?

This would be the ideal way since you won't have to pay the $4.95 activation fee if you decide to convert to visa/mc.
