You know he's playing day 1 opponents when they sap an elven archer instead of killing it (before using a voodoo doctor for no heal)

SkinnyPupp 09-11-2014 06:51 PM

Played around with a new giants mage today..

http://i.imgur.com/VeCMDeW.jpg

of course it queued me up against control warriors in 3 of the first 5 games (other 2 were hunter).. Well joke's on them, I won 2 out of 3 control warrior matchups! (let's not talk about the hunter matches)

First match I was able to Doomsayer his armorsmith and acolyte, and it just kept going from there with tempo plays.. Sludge, Cairne, Sylvanas... I used Alex on myself, and finished him with her and Rag and a Molten (2 of which got brawled away but still)... Great stuff!

Second guy couldn't answer 2 moltens on the board and HE ran Alex on ME... His armor kept him out of my own Alex combo range (1 damage off lethal!) but I used blizzard on his minions, brought him down to 8, and he conceded. (I had Rag in hand too)

In another match against a Shaman, I was able to play Sludge Belcher 4 times as well as stealing his with Sylvanas.

SkinnyPupp 09-11-2014 06:53 PM

BTW they nerfed Leeroy and Starving Buzzard

Upcoming Balance Changes for 9/22 - Forums - Hearthstone

Leeroy Jenkins now costs 5 (up from 4)

Starving Buzzard now costs 5 (up from 2) and now has 3 Attack and 2 Health (up from 2 Attack and 1 Health)

Those are some pretty crazy nerfs! No more triple Leeroy, and no more "turn 5 draw half your deck"

Pretty crazy

Vale46Rossi 09-12-2014 10:44 AM

^ Nerf was WAYYY overboard.... Starving Buzzard even up to 3 or perhaps 4.....

But 5 with only 1 extra attack and health is way too much.

we need a thread revival. GVG expansion comes out soon!

SkinnyPupp 11-28-2014 03:59 PM

I don't play as much now but I still like the game. Just the occasional arena until GVG comes out. I did get my first 12 win arena recently

SkinnyPupp 12-04-2014 05:58 PM

GVG us out in arena! It's fun as hell to play with these whacky cards

Jer3 12-14-2014 02:44 AM

been having a lot of fun with the new cards. priest is really fun with the shadow madness/shrinkmiester/recombob combo. really hard to get the right conditions to pull it off however.

even though i love playing priest, its hard to rank up using it...been taking my slightly modified handlock (post-gvg) and ive been up to rank 12 so far. facing face hunters is so annoying though...

SkinnyPupp 12-14-2014 04:17 AM

Yup it's been really fun. Hard to climb for sure as you can't really tailor to a meta since there seemingly is none. I bounce between 9 and 13, depending on how crazy of a deck I am testing out. But the truth is unless you're aiming for legendary, there's really no reason to worry about it.

I have a cool mage deck I put together that is pretty fun and somewhat consistent. Unstable Portal is so fun

Here's a game where it allowed me to beat a handlock I probably had no chance to beat otherwise

I also tried to put together a warlock mech/demon deck. It didn't do that well but a lot of it was due to shit draws. I have a soulfire and a hellfire, and for 3 games straight I never drew either of them in my first 20 cards. So I added a second hellfire and sure enough the next game all 3 were in my opening hand, along with a 6 drop, after a full mulligan.

Good gaming is having an $10,000 amateur open tournament. Entry is $5 because you need qtleast a limited silver account to join.

Registration for non-u.s will start on the 19th. You will be using your own decks, bo5 elimination. You choose 4 decks, 1 per hero and your opponent will get to van them before you start the series of 5. Winner in the series keeps using the same deck, loser can repick.

More details on the site. https://www.good-gaming.com

What sites do you guys usually frequent to read up on hearthstone? I haven't played for quite a while now and looking to get back into it but would like to take it a bit more seriously.

Reddit will have all the news. For deck lists, try hearthpwn.com

What's better than Floating Watcher + Tap?

Floating Watcher +Ping! :awwyeah:

i agree with skinny. both are the best sites for information. icy-vein had some decent guides and strategies for the basic cookie cutter builds.

on top of that, i'd recommend watching streamers too since it helps a lot in learning how to make better decision making and the thought process.

out for android tablets, and get a free pack!
Hearthstone Rolls Out on Android? Tablets! - Hearthstone

edit: near unplayable galaxy tab 10.1 :(

SkinnyPupp 12-15-2014 06:15 PM

Galaxy tab is that bad? Or is it the game?

HS is unplayable on the ipad 2 as well, but it's fairly old by now

vapour_lock 12-15-2014 06:36 PM

gtab 2 10.1 maybe 1-2 years old. played 2 games and crashed both times around turn 6. gonna try a reset to maybe clear off some crap but not looking too promising.

Jer3 12-17-2014 06:52 AM

runs fine on both my galaxy note 8.0 as well as my note 2. a bit slow during animations but completely playable.

gonna be hard to socialize outside when you can play hearthstone anywhere...

SkinnyPupp 12-17-2014 07:15 AM

Downloaded a modded APK and played it on my Nexus 5, but it's incredibly slow and unplayable.

Tim Budong 12-17-2014 07:16 AM

works decent enough on nexus7 2013
however, it eats up juice pretty quickly

mr_chin 12-17-2014 05:15 PM

Playable on my shitty HTC One M7, the lag is tolerable. Try running exposed if you aren't already.

I downloaded the .obb files and followed the steps here.

Dazbme comments on Hearthstone is out on Android Tablets.

On another note, got Gruul as my legendary from the free pack. :D

Cool you got an epic of your choice! :fullofwin:

What do you mean by running exposed?

no, just random legendary. a lot of people are getting one legendary in their free android pack.

xposed is an app that changes the scale of the game.

google xposed installer and download from there, then just follow the instructions on the reddit link.

I meant epic of your choice because Gruul is useles and unplayable. The only value you'll get from that card is disenchanting it and crafting your own epic
