I was anticipating someone asking about hearthstones from WOW.

my brother just got into beta. Game is pretty addicting and super fast pace. Anyone else in?

Been in the beta for a month or so now.

Regarding fast pace. If you play with players that doesn't take up the whole turn to decide which card to play, then yeah.

Leveling up and obtaining cards, super slow. One pack cost 100 gold or buy 2 at $2.99. You get one daily quest a day, which grants 40 - 60 gold. Then you have to win 3 games in casual or ranked to get 10 gold. You will have to do one daily and win like 15 - 20 times for a pack.

In the beginning it's pretty fast, you start completing achievements and they give you 100 gold or so. Win 100 games achievement gives you 300 gold, etc.

But people opt for arena because it's more rewarding and you get the opportunity to get more than you pay to get in. It costs 150 gold or $1.99 for one entry. You get 3 random class to choose from, and then you get 30 round to select a card from 3 random cards. Occasionally you get rounds of rare cards, rounds of epic, and if lucky rounds of legendary. Keep in mind, it's random. So you can face opponents who have 2 legendary cards and you have none.

The more you win, the better the reward. Lose 3 times and you're out. Win 12 times and the arena is over. I find that 0 - 2 wins give almost the same rewards, which is 2 box that contains 1 expert pack and the other will be 30 - 50 dust or gold. If you win 12 times you get 5 boxes. Boxes can include packs, gold of up to 200ish, dust, and cards.

Leveling up your hero gives you golden cards. Pre-level 25 or so, the cards are useless because they can't be disenchanted into dust, and most likely, you already have 2 of the same regular ones. After level 30 though, the cards can be disenchanted.

I had $18.xx leftover in my wallet, and I spent it all on arena. Arena is pretty addicting. I can't see this game going very far because of the limited game play. If they implement arena for casual plays with no rewards and no entry cost, it could be fun. It's the random cards that makes it fun.

Will I buy it when it is released? Of course, it's a game that you play to pass little time. Each match takes about 15 minutes to finish, and you can concede whenever you want.

I believe its going to be a freemium game, meaning its a free game and you pay for extras such as card decks and arena entry.

I've been playing for about a month now and I enjoy it a lot.

I feel it's more worth it to use the gold you gain to enter arena than to purchase decks. Just seems more cost effective since you will gain back a pack of cards and gold/dust even if you lose all the games. But there is also the potential to gain a lot more just by winning a lot of games.

I don't like it much, one of my friends has already spent stupid amounts of money on this game more then he's spent on any other game except maybe League of Legends. If this game was for sale for a standard game price he would have already bought it 6+ time over.

As we're seeing more and more free game with pay for content seems to be the way of the future until something better comes along. If you have more money then free time it's a good option I suppose and if you want to put in the time you can still achieve goals.

been playing it for a while now and it has lost its appeal to me.

Played the game for 2 weeks and the game has also lost its appeal to me. Spent about $50 bones on it to get the packs too.

Ya, I've spent a little more than 100 bucks on the game, this game is ridiculous.. blizzard has done it again, they've created another game that is just as addictive as crack.

Never really been into card games, but this one sounds a bit interesting.
Hope it's not like........ yu gi o(?) i remember a ton of kids from my highschool back in the day were addicted to that...

This game is meh. I feel like there is a lot more balancing that needs to be done and the leveling process + earning gold to get more cards is extremely slow.....

almost like they want you to pay money to get some........ :suspicious:
