SkinnyPupp 06-15-2014 07:55 AM

Boring ass card. Rory looked good but not good enough to be a title contender.

I was at the show with Darthchilli & Grandmaster Tse. We were in orchestra right center about half way up.

We ended up waiting in the lobby for ~15 minutes and then security said that he wasn't coming out for pictures so we cleared out

You guys walked right by me when you were walking out, I saw Chilli and wasn't sure who the other guys were. He came out about 10mins after you guys left.

They do that so there is less people for when he actually comes out. The Tony guy was so funny joking around with him and Bryan was jumping around acting like a fool the whole time. Kept on telling everyone to fuck pics with Joe and take pics with him hahaha

Ch28 06-15-2014 04:19 PM

Son of a bitch!

*note to self: never listen to security.

SkinnyPupp 06-15-2014 06:26 PM

So people are saying Schaub should have won that decision? I didn't see that at all

Lots of people talking about this, but it wasn't her

Wish this card was a lot better. Got free tickets was hoping to see some crazy fight but this card was ok. Really wanted to see a knock out.

Sources: Viacom moving towards replacing Bjorn Rebney with Scott Coker - MMA Fighting

If that's true, it's a pretty big deal! Coker is probably the only other successful MMA promoter until he got burned by Fedor

411ken 06-18-2014 06:46 AM

I agree.. that would be a good move by Viacom..

One thing I'll miss is Dana ranting about Bjorn like he's his ex or something lol

EDIT: it's now official. http://www.mmafighting.com/2014/6/18...-danaher-scott

I can't wait for Dana to make a tweet about it lol

GLOW 06-18-2014 07:37 AM

wasn't coker working in the backgrounds with zuffa when they bought SF out? or did they just let him go. I thought i saw an interview with him saying he'll still be around after the acquisition.

411ken 06-18-2014 10:26 AM

Yup he did! but his contract ran out recently so I guess that's why Viacom didn't waste any time grabbing him

Rumor: UFC 174 did 100k buys - Mixed Martial Arts News

Quote:

It’s too early to get accurate numbers, but every indication we’ve gotten was very bad, and that it showed a steep decline from UFC 173, which was among the lower numbers of the last eight years. UFC PPV shows usually range from 200,000 to 500,000 Google searches after the event, and are usually in the top few searched for items in the country. A bad show may only do 100,000. Bellator’s show last month hit 100,000. A big show can top 500,000, with the shows that hover around 1 million buys usually doing anywhere from 1 million to 5 million searches. This show did less than 20,000, unheard of for a PPV.

I've heard from a couple of people who would know, that early estimates of 174 buys have it just a bit under 100k.

I wouldn't be surprised if the number that comes out in the press is just above that, like 125.. If you see the number come out around that area, then trust me, it did under 100k. This has to piss Dana off to no end considering the Bellator show did do a legit 100k
:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

Not sure why you'd be cheering this fact...

Small guys + unknown main eventer + known non-draw main eventer + weak undercard + takes place too close to a really big show... We all knew this was going to happen :)

Also the crowd was almost 50% papered if you didn't know...

They need to cut down the numbers of PPVs, and make them big events. 4-6 a year or something like that, with the biggest stars ONLY fighting on them. If you want to see Bones or Ronda or Anderson, you gotta pay. Otherwise you get Matt Brown and guys like that. That's the best of both worlds, IMO. TV shows can still be entertaining and draw ratings, and PPVs once again become special events that you look forward to for weeks.

Either that or go the WWE route and do subscription only, but it's not THAT bad yet...

There's a lot more pics if you google her :ifyouknow:

GLOW 06-20-2014 07:31 AM

they promote her on the promotion's youtube as well...feels like some japanese fetish type stuff going on there :lol

i think they need to flood the octagon with chocolate pudding or jello for this fight :ilied:

411ken 06-20-2014 07:34 AM

I personally don't think the UFC cares about the low ppv buys just yet or if they'll ever.. 100k buys x 60$ a pop gives them 6million. lol.. and that's for a known "weak" card.

PPV cut is 50%. Also, it's not like they run at a 100% profit margin. They made $3m on PPV at best, and the gate did nothing. I doubt they made a lot of money on this show.
