HonestTea 10-06-2014 02:36 PM

blackGS? 10-06-2014 07:30 PM

Is that race Marshall waving a green flag?
I guess because Sutil's car is off the track already?

Noran 10-06-2014 07:41 PM

Green flag was being waved passed where the accident happened. The only section that had yellows waved was where Jules spun - just prior to where Sutil lost control.

I understand that in the moment it was hard to understand the details of the incident, but I strongly believe the FIA shouldn't have played the ceremonial champagne music. It made for a very uncomfortable moment for the drivers and teams.

It's painful to watch the medical car deployed. I can't imagine how the drivers felt when they drove past Jules mangled car.

Found this video of the crash in french. Crash at 48 seconds.
Pretty crazy hit on the recovery tractor, hope he recovers fully.

Pooface55 10-09-2014 11:47 AM

What a terrible freak accident. Prayers to him and his family.

Maybe time to bring out the safety car even on small accidents?

Not really racist! 10-10-2014 11:39 PM

That track is horrid. I lost my attention fifteen laps in.

Video by Sky Sports regarding Jules' accident and Formula 1 safety in general. Good watch if you have the time.

Speed2K 10-12-2014 04:52 PM

I fell asleep after the first 10 laps, is the race over? :concentrate:

Eff-1 10-13-2014 12:09 PM

If the tires had faster wear and had Rosberg not made the early mistake, I think we would have seen a fun battle between Nico and LH. A shame because originally I was impressed with the track design, especially turn 3. Reminded me of turn 8 at Istanbul. Too bad there wasn't more action here because there was definitely potential.

Nice.

I'm jealous. I want to go to another race again pretty bad.

Never had the chance to do the pit walk because of the fucking student protests/riots in Montreal that year.

Speed2K 10-28-2014 05:54 PM

USGP coming up!

But Marussia and Caterham will both miss the USGP.
