my phone was jammed into the mailbox by our front door. i was so lucky that my mom got home from work 30mins after it was delivered and brought it inside. it could have easily gotten stolen considering the types of low lives i've seen in my area..

That's so weird. When I received my OP3 it required a signature.

They must've downgraded their shipping option since then?

Well you could just ask dhl if they got your signature or the name of whoever signed for the package at my house. Obviously they wouldn't have it

That must be a DHL thing though. That's pretty fucked.

I had it shipped to work but they required a signature indeed.

It even says in the shipping info from DHL that a signature is required. Because I wasn't home when it was delivered I clicked a tab I saw for show signature and it was just blank. DHL is bloody useless.

I have most of my stuff sent to the office now. I feel like if the items are getting deliver to a business address the delivery guy always ask for sig even if it is for like $40 clothes.

For personal address I have had items that's a lot more expenisve that was just left at the front door when clearly when I purchase it, it clearly someone needs to sign for it.

How's the new 3T on rogers?

I'll be placing an order for it as soon as the 128gb is restocked.
Disappointed that they ship with DHL though.

Yeah it sucks. Depending on where you work though, maybe just have it shipped there.

New OTA just hit my phone.
I'm liking this phone quite a bit TBH.

Apart from the DPI issue I mentioned earlier, no complaints about it at all.

Dash charge is fucking excellent.

The official curved tempered glass protector is very nice, but it covers a few pixels around the edge, even though it's centered perfectly. Not a huge issue, and touch sensitivity is good all around, but something to keep in mind.

Talking about software, things like icons and text appear to be "bigger" on the screen. Many people (including myself) think it's a waste of space when an OS sets the DPI too low. There are ways around it, but often require root.

On the hardware side, a low-DPI screen may not appear as "crisp" as a higher-DPI screen. Honestly I don't notice it, but some people claim to say that QHD is night and day.

DPI = dots per inch.

Dumbing it down, say your screen is 2 inches wide.
Each icon is 100 dots.
If your DPI is 200, you can fit 2 icons, and they'll be huge
If your DPI is 400, you can fit 4 icons, and they'll be smaller.

It's just using screen real estate more efficiently. Different phones have different DPIs, and as ^ said, with root, you can change it...but I don't want to root this one yet.

Elaborating on the hardware side, it's more commonly referred to as PPI.
Say on a 5" screen, your resolution is 1080x1920 (1080p)
And on a same 5" screen, the resolution on another phone is 1440x2560 (QHD)

Because in the same physical screen size, you have far more pixels, images seem crisper because it's hard to distinguish individual pixels. The downside is that the display needs more power to fire up the increased pixel count, and battery suffers.

General consensus is that 1080p is more than adequate for day-to-day use, because you get better battery life.

If you're into VR, then it does make a difference because the phone is right up against your face and the pixels are more noticeable.

DHL shipping is making me want to order this phone.

I just sent back my OP3 and was refunded a few days ago too.

It's a tad lower, yes.

I don't think it's unusable though. Coming from a Priv.
