For the KM, this price is straight mental but I owned a Holden once. It was a fun experience. If only this one had the L67 3800 variant.

So it's a good deal if it was cheaper? lol

Isn't everything a good deal if it was cheaper?

jing 09-28-2019 07:46 PM

The owner states in his own ad that he is a motivated seller. It is already priced under market value.

68style 09-28-2019 07:59 PM

^
It’s an American car so it’s actually 160,000+kms

Yes, the seller confirmed the same thing. The car is sold anyhow. Not sure why the ad is still up.

twitchyzero 09-29-2019 01:39 AM

i'm out to lunch on later 350z values...thought surely budget baller material by now like its infiniti cuz...370z only few grand more

^ really? You fail everyone’s posts constantly with no reply or reason and then you post a 266,000km Subaru for $7,500 as a good deal?

Lol

trollface 09-29-2019 07:30 AM

That's an awful deal lol.

You're probably right; I was just casually looking on CL and saw that the ad I posted was a better deal in comparison to what is listed on the market right now. Clean cars (with what I thought were low clicks, actually 102k miles is still not terrible) will always hold a premium over Surrey specials with 20" Dub rims and blacked out head/tail lights.

punkwax 09-29-2019 08:44 AM

The Z sold pretty quick. Seems to indicate Jing was right and it was a good deal.. unlike the Subaru Faily McFailerson posted.

nightowl 09-29-2019 09:39 AM

Pretty high K, but this is almost e46(200K+) price range.....

I've noticed that all things being equal, the G35 is almost always cheaper than the 350Z. Bad news for me since I ended up going with the G, but I suppose its a better daily. If I had the choice, a low mileage 2007 track edition with the Rays wheels would be my top pick, but those go for mid to high teens...

As far as I can tell, $9500 for a 160k km 350Z is not a screaming deal, but its not the worst deal I've seen.

Lol

Actually, I thanked a lot of good posts here and not to pump my own tires ... received a lot of thanked posts on this thread.

So that 2002 Holden Commodore wagon, RHD, with 238K kms for $9500 compared to the 2005 Legacy GT, 266K kms for $7500 ... straight up, pound for pound, you'd prefer the 2002 Holden? OK, be my guest. I wasn't the only one who failed it ... I thought that was self evident.
OP wrote this - "For the KM, this price is straight mental but I owned a Holden once. It was a fun experience. If only this one had the L67 3800 variant." I take 'mental' to be negative, like a terrible price, and then he wished it had a different engine ... OK, so that's a good buy?

Do you think we can all agree that if the OP (guy who posted the ad) shitz on the price, then it automatically is NOT a good buy. It might be an interesting buy, it might be a nostalgic buy but it is not a 'CL good buy'. I've always thought maybe someone should start a 'CL Interesting Buy' thread for unicorns (which I'd be all for because I like unicorns) but it doesn't belong in this thread. This almost always earns a fail from me. The other is if someone posts their own car here ... I think one hater is still holding that against me, negging him for posting his own car on this thread.

As for the white 350Z, I went on CL and found some comps (350Z and G35 with similar kms, + or - a year) and saw one or two for less.

Eg. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van...973452559.html OK ... so this one will require a ferry ride.

But what did it for me was when original poster for the white 350Z said, 'Decent buy if you can knock down the price' ... and someone replied, 'isn't everything a good deal if it was cheaper?' and I thanked that. There was my reply and reason.

Fail away ...

What this really showed me is that I seem to have picked up a lot of haters along the way ... something for me to think about.
