I would think very very hard on it and take out a HELOC and sleep in the car because my wife would likely divorce me.

But hey, I'd have a M3 Touring.

A Golf R wagon (or even a GTI wagon) would have hit the sweet spot for me (instead of my RDX). My wife would have liked it better too as she loves VWs and prefers smaller cars.
Same with my wife - she really liked the VW Sportwagen we test drove but she also commented that it lacked features/didn't feel as nice as my MK6 GTI at the time. She also commented that it lacked power. She liked the size the most out of anything.

The previous gen Golf was a bloody amazing car - wish it would have fit my lifestyle a bit better. I'd have happily paid $50-55k for a R wagon. Shit, put the RS3 motor in there and maybe I would have found the nickels for a RS wagon (future engine swap).
I agree with what Supa said - it's the US sales that canned the Sportwagen/Alltrack, because I see lots of them here in Canada. Honestly, I would have been happy with a GTI Estate.

Golf R wagon would be so nice to have and I think they’d sell fine if they priced them around the same as regular golf r. My wife would be driving one for sure I know that much, would be a blast to have as a daily. Reg R is just a bit smol for a pupper and 2 rugrats.
Agree! The hatchback is just a bit too small...

I mean, I spent 60K on my A4 Allroad, would have loved to spend 10K less for a R Wagon.

I’m not totally up on the Golf R market but this one seems not too badly priced for a manual and only 24,000kms?

Msrp was 39k, and that was 6-7 years ago. Maybe in this current market? But I wouldn’t call it well priced ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What does it mean to be fully redone? New engine?

I’d ignore that ‘fully redone’ line, I don’t think that’s what the owner meant.

It was 14, it’s dropped down now to 10k. Looks bone stock and the st motor has proven very reliable. I’d be jumping on it if I could trade the STi.

It got a 10 minute-oil change and a good ol' slap on the back while yelling "Yee haw, as good as new!". /s I hope.

Great price for a clean, manual, decent km, -t
Assuming the history is clear and the odometer rollover isn't bigger issues

Hmmm I disagree,.... this is at the very most a $60k usd car... or about $80k cdn...

95/96 are the dog years of the NSX... heaviest model and didn't get the 3.2 / 6spd yet.

This one also seems trashed and odometer rollback is a pretty big problem on any car of this type... I don't believe it's rolled over... it's a 6 digit odo... but rolled back more likely. Everyitme I see a custom steering wheel and mismatched front bumper paint on cars like this I just assume it's been hit in the front/popped the airbag too.

36K for a MK7 is average. These could be had for 32K and the Mk7.5 was 38K-41K around June 2020.

Golf R manual is fucking horrible though. I test drove the MK7.5R and ended up in a Civic Type R instead lol. It was so bad that the CTR sold itself as soon as I clutched in and took off in 1st gear.

Speaking of $4500, could do a lot worse for that money than this land yacht!
