2013 BRZ with spun bearings. Has all the parts to fix it but the guy is leaving the country in 1 day. 6K is what he wants. You could probably take it for way less if you are quick.

trollface 07-22-2022 11:11 AM

Is he building a motor in his underground? lol

That car has all the tell tale signs of being a pos.

He has like 24 hours to sell it. Offer him like a grand. You should be able to part it out for more than that.

trollface 07-22-2022 12:29 PM

"leaving town in 1 day" is the same as "Don't run, only needs a fuse or battery, I don't have time" to me.

Never seen so many people get surprised with a cross-country move with 1hr notice on Craigslist in my life.

JDMDreams 07-22-2022 02:23 PM

It's the same as will only need $20 wiper blades but don't have time to fix, price will go up $5000 once fixed.

Do you really want to buy a car from a person who defers a $500 repair?

hud 91gt 07-22-2022 07:59 PM

Ummm “spun bearing” isn’t quite the same as a wiper blade. Lol. “This car need a complete e engine rebuild, I’m leaving the country, get it out of here”. What is it exactly he’s trying to hide? Some rust bubbles? Lol!

I don’t think anyone is dumb enough to think you can drop the pan, pull a cap and slap a bear bearing in and go. Lol.

Mr.Money 07-22-2022 10:01 PM

add on a new transmission clutch in case he really shit kicked it to roast a engine.

Based on what I've read on Rennlist Canada forums, no, I don't think so. I would encourage you to get the Spyder, though. Beautiful car! :)

You can still try to order one, but be prepared to shop across provinces. Some dealers will force you to tack on additional dealer markups (ADM) in order to make the sale feasible for themselves. It's the 911 and GT cars that are really hard to get.

But still too poor to afford one anyways

:okay:

Bargain way to get something similarly engaging to an e36 m3 with a little less fun factor and a little more comfort. It’s a great only car for an enthusiast that doesn’t have the room for a toy.

I had a shitty example of an e36 m3 and a great example of an E46 330ci. The similarities between the cars is pretty astonishing. The E36 M3 is definitely much more fun with a shit your pants factor. The power band is exactly the same though. This is a great comparison, Westopher!

An alternative to the 330ci would be a BRZ/FRS. Newer. Mostly the same creature comforts, sans the amazing BMW seat heaters, rain sensor wipers, and random BS breaking that makes part of the experience. It sucked that my refreshed 330ci only drove as well as a BRZ and less fun in the shit your pants department, but more power.

:okay:

How do you go from asking about allocations to claims of being too poor to afford one? :lol

Was thinking of something like this but with maybe less mileage. Not tryna pay repair bills anytime soon.

If you're doing a lot of highway driving, I can vouch for comfy Swedish seats.

I have a similar suspension setup on my Boxster and can vouch for it being comfortable but sporty when the occasion calls for it. Not a bad price. Good buy.
