This sounds like it's being sold by the same person that was selling a green N/A JDM MR2 a few pages back. The redtop BEAMS makes 200HP but the USDM turbos make 225 and the later gen JDM turbos make 245. As much as I love the BEAMS engines $12k seems pretty high for a JDM MR2.

That Mercedes ad should be the standard format for every used car ad.

theyve been legal since last year, market not flooded yet.

68style 07-14-2015 05:28 PM

That 95 Turbo will have a huge premium because there were only 100 of them and it was the last year in North America, it's not the right car to use to determine the value of MR2's in general.

flagella 07-14-2015 08:30 PM

That s2k is pretty nice :(. Too bad RHD, but I love how Japan's s2k came with navi, which was never offered in NA. You'd be surprised how much trouble some ppl go through to do a custom cutout and install a bezel to look like that.

$3600 GSR on the Island with 200k km. Emailed the guy; he says the sunroof is non-op and there's a tiny spot of rust on the rear wheel well, but otherwise seems decent. I'm super tempted but cbf'd to make the trek over there, pay the ferry fee, spend almost an entire day and possibly miss out on work for a "maybe"...

He was selling it for liken $2000 or something before, needed a fuel pump, looks like he fixed it and raised the price

besides the nav, the fact that it's rhd and the extra 7 hp it has over cdm/usdm, are there any other significant differences between a jdm s2k and a cdm/usdm?

flagella 07-15-2015 09:02 AM

Nope. Seats are more likely in better condition with bolsters holding strong thanks to them being slim.

BMW e36 m3

thoughts? I like the colour. Kind of want it, but work up north half the year and snapped my collar bone recently = no manual!

found a cheap sti as well

The_AK 07-15-2015 10:29 PM

^for a rebuilt e36 m3 8k is a bit much. I'd say 6.5 is more reasonable assuming its in good shape

68style 07-15-2015 10:37 PM

Can't drive manual... shops for manual cars :fulloffuck:

Wouldn't touch a rebuilt e36 m3 like that. It's 10k for a good one. 15k for some of the best. It's never worth the savings on a car that cheap. In the long run the rebuilt will always have you come out behind.
