1972 - BMW 2002, $12k

http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NjAwWDgwMA...Wv3Gv/$_27.JPG

Round Tail lights, same owner for the last thirty years. Mark my words, five years from now we're going to be saying things like "aw, remember when we could have had that 2002 for $12k?!"

wow, when I registered my car, the lady at the registry almost didnt accept my proof of employment from my work but rather wanted bills.
But since I had just moved to alberta the, I didnt have any bills, so she checked with a supervisor and ended up accepting the letter from my employer.

Maybe i just got a very strict registry agent?

But the moral of the story is you do have an address in Alberta, right?
Sounds like someone at the registration office handed in their 2 weeks notice about 13 days prior.

2007 Porsche Cayman

Not bad??

Z3guy 02-15-2016 07:30 AM

^ pretty good deal, but I would save $5K more and get a lower mileage S with the bigger motor and brakes....

flagella 02-15-2016 07:57 AM

Ya... For boxster or Cayman, you gotta go with the S.

Don't worry, pretty soon they will be paying PST in Alberta too hahahaha

I can say from experience that ICBC is ruthless about collecting taxes whenever possible, my Albertan brother purchased a Del Sol in Van and bought temp insurance from ICBC to get it back to Alberta, they charged him the GST/PST but told him how to submit for reimbursement.

Long story short he submitted the paperwork for reimbursement but all ICBC did was dick him around and refuse to pay him the taxes back lol.

Another note about ICBC, they don't play nice with out of Province insurance companies, so if a BC driver hits an Alberta driver in Alberta, ICBC provides no cooperation at all, they will basically wait until the Alberta insurance company threatens legal action before they acknowledge the claim etc.

ICBC, you so cray.

Same drivetrain as the E60 M5, aren't those famous... Well, infamous for massive maintenance costs?

At least it doesn't have the SMG so it should be a little more reasonable.

Probably closer to like 90-100k.
Honestly thats a seriously fucking cool car for the price. V10, manual, interlagos(?) blue. That seems like something that you could enjoy for a long time.

problem is maintenance on that is probably easily 5K/year
that's 15% of your purchase price on maintenance every year...and that is probably with nothing major going wrong.

westopher 02-15-2016 09:11 PM

Its true, but as the saying goes, you gotta pay to play. 505 NA horsepower and a 6 speed transmission is one fucking amazing way to play.
You'd probably go through a set of PSS every 4 months lol.

I would never ever poop on MB E63

We don't often disagree on cars Brad, but this one I'm gonna fight you over next time I see you.

The Producer 02-15-2016 09:24 PM

really?!?

This is one of the ugliest IMHO rear end treatments on a modern design that I can think of. Like aztek bad. FU bangle butts. I like some of the other stuff that was woven into the design ethos, but never the trunks.

^^ and that angle is actually pretty flattering

i'm down to scrap over this

dared3vil0 02-15-2016 09:31 PM
