^ What a great ad. No games and no bs. Excellent deal.

That's pretty much what I wrote last year when I sold the family MkV GTI, except my trade in offer from the dealership was $6500. I had the past 5 years or so's worth of service records (the Old Man lost the earlier ones, but they're retrievable from the dealership.) It was already the cheapest GTI with the lowest mileage on CL at the time, and you'd still be surprised by how many frickin cheapa$$es there are to make insultingly low offers. A lot of them also don't seem to understand that I could have gotten a better deal from dealer trade in. In fact, that's what I did with another family vehicle -- the "best" private sale offer I got was $500 lower than what I got from the dealership, I so said "screw you" and just gave the car to the dealer.

Delicious.
Sold mine 3 years ago for 13.5k now worth nothing.
Bought m3 for 13.5k and was offered 21k 2 months ago.
I'm like the Vancouver "theoretical real estate millionaires" in car form.

hud 91gt 11-16-2016 08:08 PM

Me too, except I dumped millions of dollars into landscaping the same garden 100x over, and the new owners could care less because they are installing a swimming pool....

If you get my drift.

E9X and E46 M3 market... pricing is the same as last year, and the mileages only keep going up :rukidding:

westopher 11-16-2016 09:00 PM

I think its mostly because our money is just worth less and less.:QQ:

One of my bucket-list cars, not necessarily a good deal - but to the right duster... Lol.

1995 Mercedes Benz E320 - Only 15000kms

How in the world is this dealer finding these cars...

Speaking from experience, these low KM survivor cars (not just this Benz) will probably need rubber bushings, timing belt (if applicable), CV joints, all tracks (door, sunroof) greased, brake lines and of course a complete fluid flush to be in proper working order.
