Each 1000 RPM = 24.8 km/h, so 100 km/h would be about 4032 RPM.

With no tach, it certainly SOUNDED much higher.
Then again, there may have been a hole in the exhaust of the one my older brother owned.:heckno:

Could’ve also been at/approaching resonant frequency of the cabin, which would cause an amplification effect.

^ reminds me of this one I saw yesterday. Obviously not nearly as cheap but it's pretty mint. I think the 5.5 is a direct swap too... Would even fly under the radar for collector plate purposes

Are these considered limited production to qualify for collector plates at >25 years?

1999 Mercedes Benz c43 amg ( COLLECTOR'S PLATE ELIGIBLE ) - $12

IIRC theres a wagon locally in BC with collector plate (but thats the wagon)

I know the C43 will be eligible for sure, but C36 will require some homework, but should be possible.

these cars with are equipped with that shitty biodegradable harness. if its original then it'll be a bit of fun to replace it.

2001 ITR for $6000

:troll:

Spoiler!

68style 07-17-2018 10:27 AM

Both AMG's are more than 15 years old and less than 1,500 produced world-wide... they are eligible for collector plates.

oldsnail 07-17-2018 10:36 AM

sold that fast?

I thought they changed it so that it had to be specific make/model rather than package, so like a type r for example would not be eligible. Was amg considered separate a manufacturer at that time?

vintage wheels are really an acquired taste. Newer style wheels are much more mainstream because frankly, they are just base on a couple different shapes.

love seeing period correct wheel on older cars. I am with tofu on the weird taste in wheels. I used to hate the vintage look too but it grew on me.

320icar 07-17-2018 01:59 PM

You mean I’m weird for owning a set of ronal teddy bears? :(

Dude, who says your opinion is right? it might be the majority, but that means shit. It takes balls to like something that is not universally liked. Sure, the safe bet is to buy some nice HREs P101s or BBS LM-Rs, but where is the fun in that? Personally, i am really digging all the different styles, offsets, colours, that Rotiform is offering right now. Sure, some designs are edgy, but at least you can have something different than everyone else.

I love the disk/turbo fan look. So unique and kool vs all the mesh and multi spoke wheel designs.
