Clean 04 Forester XT

Automatic, but looks like a decent candidate for an FSTI conversion

Odd, as unless there is another rebuilt, Dakar on m-cross e36 around, that car was purchased less than 2 years ago from some sketchy Surrey dealer for 6500. Not owned for 5 years like claimed in the ad.
Seems fishy. To be fair though, the car looks like it cleaned up really well, if its the same car.
Remember when I listed my e36 m3 for 12.5k?:awwyeah:

my balls are not big enough to apply more than 5% throttle
doesn't help that there's probably only a few left in the world

My uncle had a Viper in the late '90s, let me take it out for a rip. Even a stock older model was pretty damn intimidating (though, to be fair, I was 16 years old at the time, had only been driving manual for 3 months, and my car was a 1988 Suzuki Forsa sporting a whopping 48 horsepower).

2015 or thereabouts.

whitev70r 09-05-2018 07:54 AM

Dat VW wagon, if only they offer the 2.0T option, 4motion, plus chip ... super stealth hit wagon.

all it takes is one stab of the gas for a widow

Took an early Viper out once when I was super young, so primitive... but man the sledgehammer power... I mean a modern day car like a GT-R is obviously faster and launches harder now... but it's just so raw it's the equivalent of sitting naked on an engine I guess. The body and interior were a complete afterthought especially on the first gen. This one would be a little bit nicer, but not much.

I remember burning my legs on the side-pipes when I went to get out LOL.. correct me if I'm wrong, but I think even the side "windows" were just clear plastic film that snapped with buttons to the convertible top.

Pretty sure they do for Canada only. You can get the stripper model in awd turbo with a 6 speed manual and a suspension package that is virtually the same as the golf R. My buddy just traded in his golf R for this. Take what I said with a grain of salt tho

Of the many guys I grew up with, three of them have owned Vipers.
Two of them died in their Vipers.

'nuff said.

With the 1.8T - not the 2.0T. Different suspension, different transmission/Haldex system. It's not a Golf R at all...

They do share chassis mounting points etc. So a Golf R swap (as I mentioned above) is completely possible.

320icar 09-05-2018 10:12 AM

As I said before, I believe it was a Canada only. And for 2018 you can order the base with no sunroof etc but 6 speed and awd, Which thus gives you the gold R suspension. I’m not an owner; just what I’ve been told from reputable sources

The Golf R suspension and the base 4Motion Golf Wagon suspension would be tuned very differently as the wagon is longer/heavier and more for comfort... and not DCC (adjustable damping/Dynamic Chassis Control) like the Golf R has. I think you're being bull-shitted.

I've been heavily researching the Golf R/4Motion Wagon for my next car so I would be absolutely delighted if I could get a "secret Golf R wagon" for my next car instead of investing $$$ into making a swap happen.
