Looks clean, low mileage too.

I'm a salesperson at this store. I've driven the car. Overall unmolested and very clean. PM if y'all have any questions :D

It's a manual because it's a GSR. Not sure why it was posted as auto. RS hookups duh.

1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - $1,300,000

The older I get the more I appreciate those cars. I went to school with Rudy’s kids. Do I ever wish I worked at that shop like some of my buddies. Amazing to be up close and personal with those cars.

this is actually a really really great buy for somebody who has the means. I suspect the gullwing will easily reach Ferrari 250 money within the next few years.

Might want to repaint it before parading down Robson.

Lol that Evo only has 290hp? Jesus..

25k plus taxes for an 11 year old car that makes you look like you’re stuck in 2003.

You could buy a newer G37 etc with more horsepower, nicer interior and styling and you don’t look like a clown driving it for 8-10k less.

I agree with your shock on the power figures... But the g37 doesn't come in manual.

The AWD G35/G37 sedans don't come in manual but the G37 ATTESA isn't worth a damn anyways - only shifts power front/back. Acura SH-AWD is much closer to what the Evo has with AYC.

The RWD G37 sedans do come with manuals, but are incredibly rare.

It may be faster in a straight line, but it feels like a boat in comparison. The evo will also make more power with just bolt-ons. Totally different cars for different crowds. There's a lot more potential in the evo as a performance car imo.

Hondaracer 11-03-2018 03:19 PM

its a 2.0L 4 cylinder.. and considering it's the "evo" i doubt any reasonably priced bolt ons are going to result in significant performance increases.

for 28k (maybe more all said and done) there are numerous better options than the "tuner" look/feel this car provides. you're approaching 335i territory in the same year etc. hell, if you want to talk performance you could probably get into a c5 corvette..

I get the car, but at that price you better want to stick your dick in the tail pipe

I don't think you really get the car at all. Also saying you'll look like a clown driving an Evo? If someone looks like a clown driving an Evo then pretty much anyone in a modified Japanese car is a clown.

tofu1413 11-03-2018 04:48 PM

^see it this way: one's a Car (a well built one actually) and one is a street car icon (street legend for older ones)

roastpuff 11-03-2018 04:54 PM

That Mitsubishi interior... and Mitsubishi orange peel...

I like the Evo mechanically but other than that it's a Lancer at heart.

tofu1413 11-03-2018 05:11 PM

an automotive exercise on function before form.

Ahh yea?

Imo Civic type R/STi is about as modified as you can get without looking like a child

The evo is a windshield banner away from being on the cover of a fast and furious movie.

Ding 11-03-2018 06:04 PM

I feel like the evo is more understated than the type r and sti. Maybe the wrx is fine but stis with the spoiler and wrb is way more boy racerish. That boxer rumble is associated with 20 yo vape enthusiasts. The civic type r is probably the riciest car on market with all the fake vents on the rear bumper, the triple exhaust tips, 20 inch donk wheels and all the spoiler bits. Not to mention all the red in the interior and red brake calipers. Theyre all great cars but if you want a fun car without looking like a child, the golf r or s3 is probably the way to go.

swfk 11-03-2018 07:00 PM

Idk man, Evo is an acquired taste. Take it to the track with a baby seat still in the back, take it snowboarding.

G37 is any buddy guy trying to look luxxxxx on a budget. Drives like a boat too.

Edit: Price must've been justified, pending sale everyone.

E91 6-speed wagon & xdrive, not sure if good buy/overpriced. But definitely rare find.

I heard the AWD G37 are awful to drive. Feels like a boat cause it weighs like 4000lbs with a driver?

The Evo is far more understated than either of those, the STi has a massive wing and hood scoop and the CTR is even worse with the red striping and "aero" stuck everywhere.
