those are notoriously prone to wheel well rust. I had an '86 in '96 and it already had rust on a couple of the wheel wells.

In one of the pics you can see the shifter boot, I'm not sure but it looks kinda skinny like it might be an automatic that just shifts backward and forward? Quote:

From what I remember, the NSX also had a very narrow shift gate.
