Some one go buy this facelifted, headstud issue free, mint, P31 package C63 before I go do it and have my wife divorce me.

Are c63s getting that cheap or what is the catch here...? There are used mustangs more expensive than this...

It’s called European depreciation. My favourite kind of depreciation.

westopher 03-06-2019 07:53 AM

Try owning one for a couple of years and tell me if you still think it was cheap lol.

I think a few people on this forum that owned it, did say that the rear wheels wears quite quickly.. !

I’ve driven 4 different examples and each one felt like it was going to fall apart within minutes. Total POS from my experience

My experience is the opposite but I spend money to maintain it. Drivetrain is solid but that doesn't suggest service can be skipped.

The saying 'it treats you as good as you treat it' especially applies to older Mercedes.

Any idea how much it ended up going for? After looking atht epictures again, the undercarriage was probably too far gone.

The add is still up, I offered $1500 but no reply yet just sent another email this morning

wonder how that 5V head V8 sounds... the most recent 4.2's sounded great (when working)

I thought only Ferrari did a 5v head on their 355's !

Wow this is cool. I love he kept the 1.8T badges.

GabAlmighty 03-07-2019 09:18 AM

I don't know if audi shared the transmission between the two engines but he's paired up the 1.5T transmission to the v8...

donjalapeno 03-07-2019 12:56 PM

Not local, Not craigslist but this thing is super cool. Never seen a crew cab version. Current bid is $3200. Overheats over 30 mph thought lol

Park for a week and the battery goes dead. Park in the rain and interior floods, door leather then swells and peels, door, trunk, and gas door latches seizes due to water intrusion. Park in the sun, all the plastics turn gray and cracks, leather shrinks. Getting to the engine is rear clam off. Getting to the rad, ac, wipers, brake stuff, front clam off. It has stupid tire sizes that no one stocks. ECU that can randomly forget if the car is AT or MT. Stock engine tune that is so bad that it knocks and pings on 94. Rev-hang and slow throttle response. Superchargers that grenade. The list goes on. It is outclassed specs wise by everything else in the same category and price range.
