Mk8 GTI already has huge rotors.

Sure, single piston hurts the heat dissipation but tbh a set of track pads should be enough given the rotor size.

Most so called car enthusiast confuse bite with performance when high temp Mu is the only thing that matters.

PMu HC800, Ferodo DS1.11, or G-Loc are what I'd look at.

I have noticed you never see old GTIs and Rabbits on the roads anymore, haven't seen a Corrado in years. Jettas disappeared completely. Still see Integras and older Civics.

not that i would ever take it to the track, but it seems like they cant handle that sort of duty if pushed. VWVortex all say the first upgrade they do is throw in a proper brake kit and add the rear sway bar from 034 performance.
VWVortex is a bunch of dumbasses.

You just need good brake fluid (SRF ftw) and track pads that are rated for the temperature. Good to go.

Rear sway = increase tripoding on track. Not necessarily good.

Multi-piston brakes does not automatically mean good brakes!

I openly disagree with roastpuff on SRF. All you need is SuperTech DOT4.

I 100% agree with him that multi-piston brakes =/= Good brakes.

G-Loc - Isn't that a firearms company?

You're clearly not braking hard enough, stomp that pedal like it's asking you to dominate it

On local tracks (Mission cough cough) you'll boil SuperTech DOT 4 in a matter of laps.

The only time ill ever come on track is with a brand new GT3 RS which i will immediately smash into the nearest tree or fence, or guard post on turn 1, and then point and laugh while it burns hilariously down.

Bitch ass beetle. THATS WHAT YOU DESERVE YOU PIECE OF SHIT.

What happens to the loan if you total a financed car. Do you just declare bankruptcy.

During covid we paid security guys in industrial complexes to go away for the day. We did full-blown road course racing with lap timers.

For a lot of the US, you can steal a GTI off the lot. 22k out the door wasn't uncommon for most of the Mk7 run while the R were 3-5k above MRSP at like 40k.

Market dynamics are opposite in Canada, R MRSP is kind of too high and they're often discounted by end of year to move units.

Wtf there's no base golf now, GTI is the poverty spec. And you can't even spec it in manual, only so called 7 speed automatic. So is that dsg? Golf r only has 3 colour options

Yeah its pretty sad now. I really got a feeling VW is circling the drain and I wont be able to do warranty work soon. JUST STAY ALIVE 3 more years you fuck! then ill lease return this hilterbox and buy a FL5 if they still make it.

Why have so many color options when the correct color is blue with a black roof?

0 chance the German gov lets them fail; I do think they're going to half in headcount in the next couple years tho.

I think you should settle for an Integra Type-S with the exclusive "Burrard Acura Experience"

I don't think VW will suffer overall, but aren't their sales/operations in North America pretty dire?
