100% German gov't will bail them out.
Imagine Toyota fails. Either the gov't bails them out or everyone including their fanbois dies by honourable suicide.
@radeonboy - Did I read that correctly? $90K for an Integra?

The numbers in Q1 look good, Porsche and VW up 40% in North America.
ID4 is selling well and new Tiguan looks like a hit.
Audi is down 3% which IMO is a huge issue.
Losing mid-market luxury to MB/BMW in one generation means they're screwed on CPO as well.
They need hybrids ASAP and we will have to see how tariffs shake out....

What happened to Nissan? It's been quiet with them, I thought they would run out of money by now, Japan didn't bail them out

If you’re dumb enough to let them put in all those extras, like the 700 dollar burrard Acura experience and 2500 ceramic coat, you deserve a 90k integra.

Question time!
I’ve found another potential mini. The owner just wants to walk away from his loan from bmw financing.
I’ve never bought a car this way before, owner not having the title or having a lien on the car or whatever it’s called.
What is the safest and smoothest way for this transaction?
Pay him and let him deal with it or I pay out the amount owing directly to bmw?
I plan to check it out this weekend and if it’s the right car I will most likely buy it the same day. Being on the weekend will I run into any trouble having the title release and having it transferred to me?

Go into the dealership together and pay the fee to transfer the loan into your name assuming your credit is good OR go in together and pay BMW.
Honestly, just call the dealer and ask.

EDIT: Looks like trollface answered while I was typing.
Get the seller to find out what the buy-out amount is, then schedule an appointment at a BMW dealer like troll said to buy out the car and have the title transferred to you.
If the seller's asking price is higher than the buy-out amount, then you cut a cheque to the seller for the difference.

Honestly, just call the dealer and ask. | Is this fee only if I plan to take over the loan?
If I pay in full will there be some sorta service fee?
Ya you guys are right. I’ll just ask the dealer to be sure.

There's a fee either way. Get the seller to cover it. |

Ya you guys are right. I’ll just ask the dealer to be sure. | There is usually a transfer fee if you take over the loan/lease. When you buy it there might be an inspection fee they tack on.
They love fees.

not that i would ever take it to the track, but it seems like they cant handle that sort of duty if pushed. VWVortex all say the first upgrade they do is throw in a proper brake kit and add the rear sway bar from 034 performance. | The 340mm brakes on the GTI is fine. Just get some high temp fluids and ferrodo ds2500 pads and it's a beast daily. One time i braked sooooo late and this gwai lo peddy was crossing the street he thought i was going to run him over and he flipped me the bird |

To echo what everyone said, the Mk5 shared ATE made calipers with the MS3 that I had, it just ran smaller rotors. The MS3 was fine even at Mission. Number of pistons isn't the issue, it's the pads and prep.

VWVortex all say the first upgrade they do is throw in a proper brake kit and add the rear sway bar from 034 performance. | The guys on GolfMK7 use the stock brakes on the track with a fluid and pad upgrade without issue, they are the same brakes as your MK8. If that doesnt tickle your fancy the Porsche Macan 4 piston Brembo's or Audi TT-S 4 pots (I own these) are bolt on [emoji848].

Stock Brakes = Ferrodo DS2500 -> Tested at Mission, is fine
Stock adaptive suspension -> Does 1.21 at VIMC, you don't need coils
Stock tires -> Conti SC6 = Conti ECS02, you're not gonna have the best time, but you'll have fun.
