The Ford Mondeo of that era... otherwise known as the Ford Contour locally... was not a very well put together car with a lot of issues.
Now take all that and have it built in England by British people and their long history of poor workmanship and electrical quagmires, what do you think is going to happen to the X-Type?

I don't know what you're talking about, Negative Nancy, but this sounds like a fun and exciting project car to me. Ford Contour SVT, anyone?
So the SC430 market is really heating up. Not sure whats going on, but if you ever liked these things before, the time is now to get them before all the weirdos catch on.
I took my in law's white sc430 for service and the dealership guy ran to me and gave me 25k on the spot for it. I told him no, but he said he has a lineup of people looking for this car in that color combination.
Sonick is a genius. I won't go into detail what's so great about his post. But it's damn good!

Have spotted a late model SC white on saddle brown rotting away in a dudes garage in the neighborhood.. been meaning to approach the homeowner like a weirdo and ask if they'd be interested in letting it go.
Riding topless doesn't really do anything for me though. Already scratched that itch in another life.
Not on Craigslist and not local and likely not anyone's cup of tea, but if anyone is looking for a nicely built, podium-finishing Spec Cayman, word on the street is you can have this for about $45K USD.
That's a hell of a nice racecar. $ 45k or $60k Canadian seems like a great deal for all you track rats. I have zero beef with this sort of pricing on a Porsche, and it's what made them so good for enthusiasts to begin with.

It would cost a tonne more to build it up with all these goodies, so I would say this is a bargain for anyone who considering a dedicated track car or think of entering club racing in PCA or any related leagues. Just know that you can't drive this on the street; It would have to be trailered.
