The problem with the Oilers is you have a bunch of idiots running the organization that clearly have no idea what they're doing but they all think their shit doesn't stink because they won Cups as players. Just because you were HOF players doesn't mean you're good at running the business side of hockey. Ask Wayne Gretzky how his coaching career is doing.

Exactly what I was going to say. Canucks sucked shit balls last year and the owner cleaned house. Oilers should have cleaned house 10 years ago.

The difference between the Canucks is they have a strong core when the Oilers don't really have a core at all.

I know he has 8 points, but how well is he looking down there.

We know BoHo is a man among men in the faceoff circle in the NHL.

Would Gaunce be ready to step up into the NHL next year?

Players who were really good NHL'ers or super high skilled don't often make good coaches... because they just did everything subconsciously. They had naturaly talent, so they can't explain how they do anything and don't understand why they can't just tell someone to do something and they don't just do it.

That's why so many marginal or "steady" type players are coaches, they had to work their asses off to compete and be good enough at hockey and understand all the processes and tricks they had to use to make their skill level somewhat comparable.

the fact that i haven't read anything about him in the media since the season started tells me that he's having an unimpressive time with Utica.
If one of our prospects was ripping it up down there we'd have articles about em by now.
It's too damn early but isn't he projected to be bottom six at best? He was pretty invisible during training camp/exhibition.

That Lindros trade basically kickstarted a chain of events over the next few years that led Colorado to being the powerhouse team they were in the mid 90s - early 2000s.
