While I think Vegas would be awesome for us, I really think the end result will be another failed attempt to put a hockey team in a desert.

If they do it, I'll be sure to enjoy it at least once though!

When I go to Vegas the last thing I want to do is see a hockey game...

I wouldn't be against it if it was scantily clad women playing.

Even that.. You go to Vegas to sit by the pool, a bit of shopping while drinking, hit up the bars and maybe catch a fight.. Why would anyone want to go watch a hockey game and waste 3 hours when you can do that same thing at home

Hondaracer 12-08-2014 05:36 PM

rather go see an NHL game than a UFC event, thats for sure.

I was actually thinking about boxing and not UFC lol

2.5-3 hours goes by in the blink of an eye down there. Still a shitload of time to do whatever you want when you're awake ~20 out of the 24 hours each day. Party doesn't begin to start until 10PM anyway so you get out at the perfect time.

Ronin 12-08-2014 07:23 PM

Dunno how popular a team would be in Vegas. I mean, there's no other professional sports team in Vegas...probably for good reason.

Ch28 12-08-2014 07:29 PM

Vegas is propped up by tourism.

There's no way they'll be able to sustain a good enough season's ticket holder fanbase. Rumor is that the cap is going up to 72-74 million next year. Good luck having an owner that is willing to spend close to that when only 1/4 of the seats will be season ticket holders

But then again its vegas and that kinda money is nothing these days

punkwax 12-08-2014 08:05 PM

Casinos will own most of the season tickets I would imagine.

Renthal 12-08-2014 08:18 PM

marty brodeur is looking pretty decent.. wonder what will happen when elliot is back.

quasi 12-08-2014 09:04 PM

For the reasons already said I don't think it will work but if I was planning a trip to Vegas during Hockey Season I'd go out of my way to plan it when the Canucks were in town. The cost of a ticket would be nothing compared to Vancouver, you could probably pay half your air fair or more with the money you saved on tickets.

Buying tickets on craigslist that arent season tickets accordinf to the seller - - what should i be wary about?

Hard copies are better than printouts... but I think both can be forged or reissued.

I would say the best thing to do is make sure the seller isn't sketchy and have him provide you information like a legit phone number or have him show you a driver's license.

Yea, drivers license is probably one of the better bets. Legit tickets be it hard copy or printed can be reissued no problem and unless they also happen to have a fake ID it should be pretty safe.

Btw what game are you buying. I'm a ticket holder too selling lol but only have 3 games left.
