That seems like such a steep price to pay especially if it blows up and he doesn't work out here...it's a high risk high reward move.

you know as an rfa he can file for this thing called slaray arbitration. he has until july 5, and that will pay him what comparable players around his level make, and those comparisons are made to all signings including the recent ufa ones

iirc Shea Weber was an RFA when he got that $7.5M bridge deal so him being an RFA doesn't really affect how much he'll get. Mind you, Weber is MIIIILES hell, lightyears, better than Tanev.
