MASK and COPS cartoons were amazing. Limp Bizkit's Significant Other defined my summer of '99. I'm chuckling right now remembering trying to answer the questions for the explicit version of Leisure Suit Larry.

This thread delivers :fullofwin:

I remember a friend and I being Sysop's for our own BBS! That's some badass shit right there! Started out using the 1200 baud modem, then 2400 baud modem, then the big daddy 14.4k baud! That shit was pimp!

Playing MajorMUD, Trade Wars, ASCI text based graphics all day! Chatting meeting bitches on the BBS!

I thought I was a bad ass when I had a Sony Discman in ~1991.

vafanculo 07-15-2014 04:54 PM

I remember my first mp3. Held 13 songs Lol. Then I purchased an iPod and struck gold with 6gb

SkinnyPupp 07-15-2014 05:06 PM

murd0c 07-15-2014 05:25 PM

I had one nnd the matching yellow ghetto blaster

ae101 07-15-2014 07:40 PM

i remember i got yellow walkman from my dad as he got it from RBC & he got a crappy blue disc man with no anti skip from RBC (also my 1st disc man)

my 1st mp3 was also a rca lyra 64mb, after that broke my friend gave me his 64mb mpio mp3 player (the sliver tubish looking one) while everyone was on 126mb mp3 players

http://gd4.alicdn.com/imgextra/i4/39...X-39103794.jpg

then i remember my uncle got me a sony MD & that was the start for the big MD VS MP3 battle

for those of u that dont know what md players looking like
http://www.11points.com/images/sony-minidisc.jpg

that didnt last long for me as i kinda went back to a mp3 player & i sold my md player, shortly after my dad got me one of those cheap crappy mp3 players from china (which was huge with chinese kids & also most of the brand name mp3 players where made from the same factories in china)

i remember when ipods didnt completely stole the market & there were other brands like:

iriver

sandisk

mpio

store bands

rca

aiwa

man those were the days

were u talking about those mini disc players or those big md record sets

i always had issues with recording mini discs because i never allowed it to record silently. Sometimes in the background of the music you would hear a windows chime or an ICQ uh oh. Felt worse than recording music on a cassette tape.

SkinnyPupp 07-16-2014 06:41 AM

lol minidisc.. all the asian kids in school had those... copying tapes was still better, or even burning CD's. I used to sell mix CD's because back then it was rare to have a burner

Hondaracer 07-16-2014 07:04 AM

Me too, me and only one other guy I knew in highschool has burners, think It was an "alpine" not car audio brand, like 4X write lol

Had the second gen iPod right when it came out, spent most of my remaining summer work money on it probably lol, think it was grade 10/11 when no one had them, ordered straight from apple!

Does anyone remember the name of the video game store that used to be in Coquitlam Centre where the Rogers Cellphone store currently is? I remember buying Lethal Enforcers from there (SNES). It came with the gun and made for some fun times. It was also the first place I played Stunt Race FX and it was the course with the underwater tunnel and the halfpipe section you could drive over and fall in the water for instadeath.

Speaking of old video games, is anyone else keeping their old stock? Ever since my suicidal regret of selling my SNES with mint FFIII & Chrono Trigger games, I've kept everything I bought since then. Some of what I own is rising in value. I own Mario Party III for the N64 and some auctions are hitting triple digits. I'm hoping games like Rage Racer and Super Puzzle Fighter (both for PS1) rise in value.

:ilied: my old video games are my only investment.

Yep have a collection of older nintendo games. N64 Mario Party 1,2,3, boxed Zelda Majoras mask, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana etc. Some games are worth quite a bit.
