Just a little over 2 years. Walt was 49 turning 50 in season 1 and he turned 52 just when he was at denny's to purchase the BFG to take down Uncle Jack.

Speaking of time lines, Gus is alive and well right now. Would you think that he is just starting Pollos Hermanos? Maybe his partner's time is coming when they visit Don Eladio?

Walter Jr. having his first taste of breakfast after puberty, perhaps?

white rocket 03-11-2015 03:38 PM

Are we assuming that this show takes place 10 years before BB? 5 years? 15 years?

It's hard to gauge at this point

RRxtar 03-11-2015 04:22 PM

Wikipedia says Saul takes place in 2002, 5-6 years before BB

ForbiddenX 03-11-2015 04:45 PM

Yea Better Call Saul takes place in 2002, I think you can even see it on the taxi driver's dash when they do a close up on his name.

SoNaRWaVe 03-11-2015 05:04 PM

this show is getting really good. it makes me want to rewatch BB just to see saul and mike's interactions.

Drow 03-11-2015 05:22 PM

was hoping for breaking bad : gus chronicles

i guess saul is more pleasant to watch

Well this is the prequel before Breaking Bad happened...obviously all the characters are alive and well (before they died in Breaking Bad that is :lol)

RRxtar 03-11-2015 08:46 PM

im hoping for more BB cameos. saul finally buys a caddy and takes it to the car wash that walt is working at. lol

spoon.ek9 03-11-2015 09:19 PM

2002, highschool grad year

twitchyzero 03-11-2015 09:25 PM

this show needs cameo from meth whore Wendy and her bj montage

murd0c 03-11-2015 09:29 PM

I've seen every episode twice, once on Mondays and again with the gf when she comes over and it still doesn't get old.

Yes, it was two years, but it wasn't ambiguous.

Timeline - Breaking Bad Wiki

Starts September 7th, 2009 and ends September 7th, 2011.

The grand-daughter should have been at like eight years older in Breaking Bad compared to yesterday's episode.

murd0c 03-12-2015 07:09 AM

maybe he has another grand-daughter? lol

ZN6 03-12-2015 08:04 AM

I think they're gonna have to re-introduce Gus. Mike being such an integral part of the show now and his extremely close ties with Gus in BB.

It would be very interesting to see how he became involved with Gus and the hazard pay inmates.

murd0c 03-12-2015 08:12 AM

no question that will be a huge part of the show

I think they called her Kaylee in both shows.

Not a huge deal... but just odd since they are usually so meticulous with details.

Another detail from this week's show... in the bar, they were playing a song by the band 38 Special. What does Mike use to kill the two cops? A .38 Special.

murd0c 03-16-2015 02:53 PM

Can't wait for tonight, I love Mondays just because this show.

Ulic Qel-Droma 03-17-2015 11:23 AM

Yea definitely agree!

I'm really liking this show and the potential it has. Does anyone know if it will continue into the Breaking Bad story line but just from Saul and Mike's perspective?

murd0c 03-23-2015 06:59 PM

WOW today's episode is excellent. I'm so said its over cause damn its starting to get good!!

How can only two episodes be left this season? Fuck that makes me mad

InvisibleSoul 03-25-2015 12:40 PM

If anyone was wondering what Hamlin told Jimmy in the mail room:

white rocket 03-25-2015 02:42 PM

^^figured it was something like that. These 10 episode season shows make my balls hurt. Just when you get into it, BAM; season finale :(
