i don't think the ending was underwhelming. i mean he isn't selling meth or some other "crazy" shit, the only substance (no pun intended) to build on is HIM. the series is just being empathetic and feeling what he feels. and the moment he walked away from the courts and decided enough is enough, that he's gonna be true to his nature, and do what he does best...

A fucking tragedy is what it was. I look back at the show with distaste now due to the ending and it was my top show at the time.

This show will be the ultimate easter egg producer. With Breaking Bad being one of the greatest show of all time it'll be easy to replicate it with Better Call Saul. Yes, it's a stand alone show and great in it's own right but it relies heavily on what we know of BB. Cameo's and pop-ups will be a heavy supply this season I'm guessing.
