Don't see much reason to upgrade from a Nexus 5 but that could change I suppose

Mr.HappySilp 08-13-2014 07:35 AM

Might order one to play around with......
Nexus phone is price decent let's hope this one is the same.

Specs honestly doesn't wow me anymore. When I switched from an N4 to an N5, the performance was barely noticeable. What made me keep the N5 was instead how well it fit in my hands and the reduced weight.

Nonetheless, I'll likely order one just for curiosity since they're easy to resell early on. My only wish list would be a better camera, it's the only complaint I have about my current phone.

i agree. we live in an age where every smartphone being released has amazing specs. it doesn't matter which smartphone you buy. they're all more or less the same specs wise. its all about user experience now. which one looks the best, which one feels the best in hand and which one will survive the most tumbles. lol.

Well the OnePlus One's appeal was short lived. I'll probably wait for this and finally upgrade my N4. :alonehappy:

Never really like the one+ is too big. Nexus is always a good size also another reason that kills the One+ is their stupid invite system.

that stupid invite system and their sexist campaigns are quite the lulz in my opinion.

Although, I hope Google manages to muster enough N6 before retail so it doesn't sell out in a couple of minutes again.

Been needing a new phone. Any release info/rumour?

OT: You get invites depending on member number, so if you signed up early(found about about it earlier) you will get an invite before those who just found out about it now. Also if you have time, you can try your luck on the official forums, theres people giving out invites every minute on there at random so maybe you can skip the line on the invites from the company. It's how I got one invite which I gave away on RS. :woot2:

It was never a problem for the N5, so I'd be surprised if supply becomes an issue this time around.

Regardless, I will still camp by my PC on release. :fullofwin:

what's a comparable phone in size with a 5.2 inch display? galaxy s5?

FerrariEnzo 08-13-2014 05:35 PM

I think it would be better served if it came with the Snapdragon 810

s5 but then it also depends on the phone. Look at LG G3 5.5 inch screen but is not much bigger than a S5. Just look at the M8 and how big that phone is (almost the same size as most 5.5 inch phone) but the screen size is only 5 inch......

+1
I think 810 will not be available till 2015

bobola 08-13-2014 10:43 PM

Pretty useful to compare size
Visual Phone Size Comparison

the thing is that the g3 uses soft-key to navigate,
so it uses like a cm of the screen estates
but a simple mod can fix that.

who here rather have bigger battery > 1440p !!?

Everything is slowly going to QHD... so QHD would be good especially is you can get it cheap (nexus devices).. but 4K for now is overkill...
But for people who say that QHD is useless or too early, All I can say is that it will be the norm, just like when people say 1080p on smartphones are dumb and dont need it.. content will come out when the hardware is available...

I dont mind the battery thats a little unpowered, gotten used to it on the past 2 nexus phones.. I have my 5000mAh battery pack I always have with me...

asian_XL 08-16-2014 10:06 PM

the N6 probably has no expandable SD slot and no removable battery

People who buy a Nexus does not care about an expandable SD.

or removable storage... which the nexus line is known for since the first device.. So I dont see why they would start adding it in now..:suspicious:

Nexus X Said to Be Name for Google's Next Smartphone | TechnoBuffalo

Looks like it will be a 5.9inch 2k display instead of 5.2 inch. That doesn't really sound good. It will be too big.

FerrariEnzo 08-25-2014 04:09 PM

I dont believe anything unless its from Google... its all speculations now...
