smoothie. congrats on the Laguna Blue s2k.

I had a friend who's been hunting one as well and I think he was the first one to message the seller, but the seller later told him there's a guy who's willing to offer full price subject to inspection. Had my friend been as firm as you were in his original email, he might have gotten it ;).

Mint S2000s are just becoming more and more rare these days and one shouldn't hesitate to jump on the opportunity when one comes up.

DH sled?

Yakima High Roller if its a heavier bike. I tried a couple racks, before I got the high roller, and they all sucked, and swayed in the wind and shit. My bike is 45lbs though, so I need something beefy.

I've been looking since 2011, put down a deposit on the Vancouver Auto Liquidation one last summer, but I'm glad I waited for a better one.

The prices have dropped in the states, but with the exchange and local ricer tax, they're virtually the same.

Low and behold a local one imported from Cali was posted Wednesday. Bought it Saturday after inspection.

It's finally mine, and its everything I expected.

Will have to detail the shit out of it soon. It's swirly.

I also checked out that one from Vancouver Auto Liquidation before I landed mine but that one was on absolutely horrid condition and took too much time and money to fix it back up than I was willing to commit to. I wonder how much it ended up selling for.

So you're the one that bought that! The previous owner posted on S2KI right before he listed it on CL asking for the price range they go for. Laguna Blue has always been my favourite colour but the seller declined to trade for my NFR + cash haha. Sounds like you got an absolutely mint and non-abused s2k for a pretty good price, congrats!!

Just fucking /thread here...

For fucks sakes skunk. You are seriously killing me.
In all honestly though, I love you for driving these cars and not parking them in a shed while you twiddle your fingers like Mr. Burns checking rennlist hoping for them to appreciate.

The_AK 02-04-2015 11:42 AM

I read that the High Roller fits most factory racks, can you guys confirm? I was considering getting the OEM bmw bike rack but may be swayed otherwise. And yes, DH bike (well, freeride more-or-less)

Yakima sells the rack independently from the little feet, and then they have a series of what they call "Mighty Mounts" for different bar types.

So for my factory cross bars which are long and oval shaped, I bought the corresponding legs for that style.

Looks like Skunk has round bars, so he probably has different feet than the ones that I got.

But yes, in general Yakima has some application which will fit your OEM bars nicely.

Sick, I'll be looking to pick up a set
