:D Meh I deserve it.

In all honesty, all the Advan wheels I'm familiar with are far nicer/sexier than the F7's.

The F7's are the red headed step-child of the Advan wheel line up lol

So the color match isnt too far off. It looked a lot worse in the shop.

imho it was cool back in the day, same as the model 5s (which looked rad in the Option two page spreads on the NSXs...)

F7 I believe are the newer version of the T7? the T7 did have a cool concave model which was pretty rare on this side of the ocean..

Can't get the video to work, but the bottom line is that, yes that vehicle is static and gets driven exactly like that.

EDIT: Here you go:

I believe it was lowered and cambered even further since this video.

I'm only a phone call away. Maybe you will actually keep this one long enough that I can take some semi-decent pictures of it?

CorneringArtist 02-11-2015 05:50 PM

I did a thing at Speed Syndicate...I don't do winter sports, so keeping the snows on was getting redundant, and I did have my OE Volkswagen lowering springs waiting so...

Gotta find me some decent winter wheels asap.... And no I didn't double park lol

Come on guys, you don't have to like it, but just respect the work and the stuff they go through to make that shit happen and move on. That car is built to show what can be done, explore the extremes of what is possible. They have other vehicles which are modified to show their version of a daily driver as well.

This is a local shop, which is known all over the globe for their toyota and lexus parts catalogue. The VIP guys go absolutely ape over S9 stuff, the least you can do is show a little respect for some guys from your little part of this world just trying to do something different.

Honestly one of the most distasteful comments I have heard/read/thought today, which is appalling considering the crap that circles inside my own mind.

EDIT: Also I'd like to point out that SerialNine does a lot for our local car community, this is a very skilled group of people over at that shop, and they build some of the nuttiest shit in the local car scene.

dared3vil0 02-11-2015 08:29 PM

^ You make a good point, and while it's built that way as a demonstration of what can be done, I think what people are saying is it's just over done.

I don't give a fuck where they're from if they put hazardous shit like that on the road. I understand they do quality work for that sort of thing and that it isn't easy to do, but anyone reducing the contact patch of something weighing thousands of pounds down to a stick of gum with no suspension travel and then driving it on the road is a fucking idiot.
