Imperial Hobbies on Russ Baker Way... and Core Games in Lansdowne, it's actually better/cheaper than Imperial if you're just looking for board games

What are the go to board game shops in the lower mainland? And do they hold any events or meetups to play boardgames weekly?

There were a few here in Toronto and was just wondering if there were any in Vancouver as well. Never was this into boardgames before so never got a chance to see what Vancouver has

Also anyone play Netrunner? Looking at getting into it

There is starlit citadel in Vancouver. They don't have a shop here, but they have a warehouse located at 61 West 7th Avenue. You can just order the games online and pick it up there.
