Yeah I guess I'm on the same boat as everyone else....looking to maybe sell it and get an FRS or I might just keep it and redo all my mods in an entirely different fashion...guess we'll see :considered:

The Honda Prelude really is a dying breed. I had to let my lude go for $2200, took me 6 months to sell from my original asking price of 5k. Had like a thousand interested buyers but only one serious buyer that actually came to check it out physically and eventually purchase it.

I think its too awesome to not keep. Given the value of them has shot down, they're still amazing and reliable cars.

My plan, which probably won't go as desired, is to keep the car even after it craps out on me and maybe just buy another DD that lasts me till I'm done with school. After I'm done with school i'd like to slowly work on it and modify it exactly the way I want, specifically with a tranny swap.

Also, I came across a lude with cobra Svt wheels and I thought it looked surprisngly nice. What do you guys think?

underscore 03-08-2015 03:30 PM

^ I'd raise it a half inch and call it perfect.

dahonga: was there anything wrong with it? that sounds insanely cheap.

ApePee2 03-08-2015 04:03 PM

I miss my lude, curious where it is now. Pearl white, type s exterior (lip and spoiler) with all red sir interior. :(

Gregboat 03-08-2015 04:36 PM

Those SVT wheels are mint

SpeedStars 03-08-2015 06:52 PM

PogChamp 2200 seems extremely cheap lol considering on CL they range from a min of 3000 for an auto with 250k kms to like 6000 for a 5spd with 170k

Yeah i've noticed the same thing. Shitty thing is most don't seem to be selling. Some, if not most, of the preludes on sale have been up for a while.

Gregboat 03-09-2015 08:09 AM

How many of you guys are planning on going to Spring Revscene on the 22nd?

european 03-09-2015 08:34 AM

The SVT wheels are nice. I agree to lift the car just a little bit.

I'll be at Spring meet doing my video thing as always but I won't have my Prelude there. I'll be sure to get some Prelude footage for the video.

Gregboat 03-09-2015 08:46 AM

Sounds awesome, if you happen to see me by my car be sure to say hey. I would love to chat Preludes.

Gregboat 03-09-2015 08:54 AM

Btw Mike, that was me who made the post about the March 1st meet at Ironwood plaza on the VPC forum. And nope nope nope, that forum is as dead as ever. I really think that the only hope for Prelude owners is to use revscene as a medium.

european 03-09-2015 09:50 AM

I'm not 100% sure but I was told by another VPC member that more people use the VPC facebook page
It's probably still very quite over there though.

Prelude chat eh?

Before I gave up on my 5th gen, my next plan was to have the JDM SiR S-Spec H22A with the JDM M2Z4 LSD transmission installed. I'll just do it with a 4th gen thought... if I ever get one, hah. I'd also install the AP1 S2K instrument cluster and see if some how the 5th gen Mugen exhaust would fit.

Now that would be one hell of a car! :fappery:

european 03-09-2015 12:03 PM

yea its not too shabby I guess.

jaybee 03-09-2015 02:24 PM

I wish I could make it out to the revescene meet but my prelude isn't ready :(

I don't even have a car anymore and I'm still going to the meet

Did you not replace the Prelude with anything?

european 03-09-2015 06:11 PM

^
No, not as of yet.

Any ideas? (aside from a 4th gen)

If I buy another car I'd really like it to be a Tesla or any other electric vehicle but Tesla is the dream

Gregboat 03-10-2015 08:47 AM

Yeah, the Tesla sure is a game changer. Me personally, I still want to wait a few years for all the bugs to get worked out and for the tech to mature a bit more.

european 03-10-2015 10:06 AM

Any plans for your Prelude other than the possible transmission rebuild or swap?

There's tons of stuff that I want to do, but my main goal is to have it get me to and from school without too many headaches.

I just changed out my sway bar bushings, and end link bushings to Polyurethane from Energy Suspension, and replaced my Oil Pressure switch. The difference in the suspension is very very noticeable, even at factory height I have a whole lot less body roll, and it takes way longer to understeer than before.

As for future plans, I want to do the OEM front lip, I'm in the process of building a custom rear diffuser and I want to get a spring and strut kit or coils.
